Asa T.O. Driftwood, Deax’Kash iakahte (Little Eagle) went to the other side of the camp on July 23 2019 at home surrounded by his family and friends.
He had many accomplishments throughout his life. He received his Class A CDL at Sage Truck Driving School. At the age of 18, he was their youngest graduate. In 2018, he decided to go to college with his two younger brothers; Miah (Acacia)He Does It, Sr. and Luke (Larissa)Rock, Sr. to get his Heavy Equipment Operator License. He was a “jack of all trades.” He traveled to North Dakota, Wyoming and throughout Montana for work in the oil fields to work as a laborer, truck driver, and finally becoming the Truck Boss. Most recently he was a construction laborer.
His passion was Indian Relay and being an accomplished horseman. His love for horses went deep and he showed his little brothers, friends and his boys how to make a horse be their best friend. He was always there to help his many relay brothers, and he enjoyed being on the relay trail.
He was a member of Our Lady Loretto Catholic Church in Lodge Grass and also Freedom Church in Billings Montana. His Uncle/Dad, Mike Driftwood, planted a seed in him to become a Child of God, and he decided to give his life to God. He was a member of the Big Lodge Clan, and a child of the Ties the Bundle. He was also in the Night Hawk Society.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Martin and Phyllis Spotted Horse, Jr., and Harvey Driftwood; adopted father Woody Pease; his aunts Michelle Driftwood, Phyllis Spotted Horse, Marilyn Stewart, Estaphan Ten Bear and Lucy Ann Anderson; his uncles Pernell Driftwood, Paul “Boy Spotted Horse, Jr.; brothers Cori Stewart, Wayne Brien, Kirk Chief, Jeremy White, De’ Allan ‘Baby Boy’ Little Light.

Funeral Service is Saturday, July 27 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Loretta Catholic Church in Lodge Grass. Burial to follow at the Lodge Grass Cemetery. Rosary is Friday, July 26 at 3:00 AM at Bullis Funeral Chapel.
