Brendan Kane Fitzpatrick died June 18, 2019 in Hardin. He was born May 14, 1996, in Crow Agency to Robert Fitzpatrick, Sr. and Danelle Big Hair. His Indian name Buh’ sahnesh (Leader) was given to him by the late Pius Real Bird. He was a member of the Big Lodge Clan and a child of the Whistling Water. He grew up in Hardin and attended school there. While in school, he played basketball for the Hardin Middle School Bull Pups and the Hardin High School Bulldogs. He played in many tournaments and enjoyed every minute on the basketball court. He received his HISET at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Brendan enjoyed hunting trips to the mountains and going fishing on the Big Horn River. He loved hanging around with his friends and being around family. He always looked forward to his uncle Jacob’s cooking. He loved making and listening to music. Brendan’s love for his two daughters was boundless. Family was important to him and he made time to sit on the porch visiting with his grandma and going to Crow to see his grandpa. He was a member of the House of Hope Church in Hardin.
Brendan is preceded in death by his Kaala Minnie Fitzpatrick and his cousins Preston Bell, Tristan Gray and Zoey Not Afraid.
He is survived by his two daughters Ria Marie and Luena Le Fitzpatrick and companion Vonya, his father Robert Fitzpatrick, Sr. and his mother Danelle Fitzpatrick; his brothers Ty (Kori), Robert, Jr. “Big Boy” and Daniel “DJ” Fitzpatrick; his adopted brother Christian House; his paternal grandfather Michael Fitzpatrick; his maternal grandparents Daniel and Crystal Takes Enemy, Sr. and Regina Big Hair Falls Down; his aunts Danetta Takes Enemy, II, Jacob Carlson, Rod (Doralee) and Marcus Rex (Susan) Fitzpatrick. He claimed all his friends as his brothers. His extended family includes the Fitzpatrick, Big Hair, Takes Enemy, Little Light, Real Bird, Hill, Brown, Walks, Bends, Leider, Deputee, White Clay, Moccasin, Pretty Weasel, Medicine Tail, Stewart, Rides the Horse, Plenty Hoops, Bear Cloud, Blaine, Big Lake, Singer, Spotted Horse, Costa, Hugs, Jefferson and Iron. Funeral services will be held Friday June 21, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Spirit of Life Foursquare Church in Crow Agency with interment to follow in the Crow Agency Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
