Carletta Bravo

Carletta Bravo left us peacefully on February 8, 2019 at the Big Horn County Memorial Hospital. She was born September 11, 1960 to Becker Andy and Dolly (Hunts the Arrow) Little Light in Crow Agency.  She received her education in Crow Agency and earned her GED in 1981. As a child and young woman, she was active in the Pentecostal Church.  She married Dennis Bravo in 1982 and the couple made their home in Lodge Grass. The couple had five children Leon, Brandon, Britana, Cordell and Shilo.  Carletta was a homemaker and stay at home mom. She assisted with the care of her mother and helped raise her niece Alta Little Light and Alta’s daughters Chantel and Starla Little Light and grandson Tivon Bravo. She always maintained a clean and welcoming home and she enjoyed visitors. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren and she cherished her time with them. The loss of her daughter, Britana, brought her long and lingering grief. 

Carletta was a member of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Lodge Grass.  She was a faithful member and volunteered in various capacities. She enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, and had a strong life of prayer.  During the summer, she provided youth workers with her well-loved fry bread. She was a member of the Ties the Bundle Clan and a child of the Big Lodge Clan. 

She is preceded in death by her daughter Britana; her parents Becker and Dolly (Hunts the Arrow) Little Light; her brothers Wayne and Warren Collin Little Light and her nephews Mitchell and Corey Stewart.

She is survived by her husband Dennis; her four sons Leon, Brandon, Cordell (Eugenia), and Shilo (Paris) Bravo; her sisters Loretta Little Light, Nelvette (Stanley) Rides the Horse, Pansy (Andreas) Yellow Mule, Carla and Carolyn Whiteman, Angie (Chad) Good Luck, Marilyn (Richard) Chief, Doreen (Grant) Stewart, Shannon Little Owl, Rosalie Hunts the Arrow and special sister Kim O’Brian; her brothers Gary (Ann) Terrin Becker (Carol) Little Light, Mike, Asa (Kelly) and Chris (Sandy) Driftwood, Erik and Fred Left Hand, Johnny Stops, Delvin (Janelle) Medicine Crow, Scott (Lauren) Medicine Horse; her uncle Grady Hunts the Arrow; her aunties Norma Stops, Helen Driftwood, Junetta Medicine Crow, Annabel (Art) Alden, Barbara (Marshall) Left Hand, Audrey Deputee; her grandchildren Tivon, Brandon, Jr., Britana, Koty, Dolly, Autumn Bravo and Corey Whiteman and numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be especially missed by her Aunt Junetta, who was like her second mother, and her grandson Tivon Bravo who she raised as her own. Her extended family includes the Carpenter, Laforge, Jefferson, Onion, Little Owl, Old Bull, Half, Old Elk, Little Light, Pretty Paint, the family of the late Alice Iron, Grey Bull, Red Star and Bright Wings families. We are sorry if we have missed anyone in our time of grief.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 12that 10:00 am at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Lodge Grass with burial to follow in the Lodge Grass Cemetery. Rosary will be recited Monday, February 11that 4:00 pm at the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Bullis Mortuary is entrusted with the arrangements.
