Crystal Shannon Marie Gardner, 47 of Crow Agency Mt. passed away Monday March 2nd 2020 at the Billing Clinic. She was born in Rolette, North Dakota on November 2, 1972. She is the daughter of Thomas and Donna Nadeau Gardner. She grew up and attended school in Crow Agency and Hardin. She graduated from Hardin High School in 1991. At the urging of one of her grandmothers Alice Mae Laforge she was given her Indian name “Bawiialaa’shkuuledesh” meaning “Never backs down from anything” by Pauline Small a former vice Secretary of the Crow Tribe. In 2001 she meet the love of her life Gilbert Little Mouth. Her companion of 18 years, they had a son together William “Billy” Little Mouth. She also raised Malayshia Martinez as her own daughter. She was also a decedent of Chief Pretty Eagle as well as Chief Spotted Horse of Lodge Grass.
She loved and adored her kids, family, friends, coworkers, and anyone she came in contact with. She liked to work. Be around family and friends. She was a Seattle Seahawks fan. Loved to listen to music particularly reggae, Elvis, Prince and various types of music.
She was preceded in death by her mother Donna Marie Nadeau Gardner and her younger brother William ”Billy John” Gardner. As well as her 6 uncles on her mothers side Johnny, Zeke, Bobby Amyotte and Gary, Russel and Bruce Nadeau and a maternal aunt Crarala Azure. As well as her maternal grandmother Elda Poitra Nadeau of Dunseith North Dakota. Paternal grandmother Priscilla Stewart Gardner, and aunts Ruth Lira, Williamina “Betty” Gardner Martinez.
Survivors include her companion Gilbert little mouth, her son William (billy) little mouth, her daughter Malayshia Martinez, her father Thomas Gardner, her sisters Nellie and Magdalene Gardner.
