Daniel Gregory Takes Enemy, Jr., 45, of Hardin, Montana made heaven his home on June 13, 2021. He was born August 15, 1975 in Crow Agency the son of Daniel Takes Enemy, Sr. and Regina Big Hair Falls Down. He was given his Indian name “eagle in the sun lodge” by Mike Hill, Sr. He was a member of the Big Lodge Clan and a Piegan child. He grew up in the Black Lodge District and attended school at Pretty Eagle, Hardin, and St. Labre. He earned his GED at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington.
Daniel worked at many jobs in the construction field. He also worked for AML, Crow HIP, and was a fire-fighter with the Crow Forestry Department. His last employment was working carpentry. He loved to hunt, fish, and go to BBQ’s. Daniel was a Sun-dancer and loved going into the sweat lodge with his uncles. He was a social person who never knew a stranger. He was a jokester and especially got a kick out of teasing his nephews and brothers. He acknowledged all his relatives with friendly greetings and a smile.
He is preceded in death by his father Daniel Takes Enemy, Sr.; his paternal grandparents Charles Jefferson, Sr. and Viola Takes Enemy; his maternal grandparents Jacob C. Big Hair Jr., Rosemary Walks and Raymond Falls Down; his nephew Brendan Fitzpatrick; a best friend Tory Fighter; his brothers Michael L. Takes Enemy and Scott Brown; his sisters Angela and Adelia Takes Enemy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Bullis Funeral Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in the Crow Agency Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary is entrusted with the arrangements.
