Edna Schneider

In Loving Memory

Edna Lou Schneider joined her beloved husband in heaven on May 07, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Edna will be remembered and missed by all who knew her as a gentle, caring and very loving Wife, Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma and friend.

She charmed everyone she met with her laughter, generosity, compassion, nicknames and playful nature.

Edna was born in Hardin, Montana on August 04, 1938 to Ed and Frida Keller. She grew up in Hardin. On August 03, 1956 she married the love of her life and best friend Freddy Loren Schneider. The passion of their 59 ½ year union resulted in seven wonderful children. Fritz (Babe) Danny, Karen, MaryKay (Mitz), Kelly (Toots) Wayne and Randal. Twenty-two Grand Children and twenty-three great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Edna loved to farm the land with her family. Spending years in Hardin Montana, Worland and Tensleep, Wyoming. She worked at Dirty Sally’s in Tensleep, then after moving back to Red lodge, Montana she worked at the Red lodge nursing home as a cook and later after moving to Billings was a cook at the Rose Park Elementary School. 

Edna and Freddy loved the mountains and fresh mountain air. They served as camp hosts for many years in Wyoming and Montana. Her passions of life were cooking, yard work, and coffee in the morning and a red beer at night with her husband Freddy. She loved to iron and did this as a small side business for a short time. She never missed watching bull riding. She loved horses and watching Westerns. 

Edna was preceded in death by her husband Freddy; parents, Ed and Frieda Keller; loving In-laws Fred and Lydia Schneider; brothers, Conrad and Randy Keller; brother-in-laws Floyd Schanaman and Johnny Schneider.

Edna is survived by her children, Fritz (Peggy) Schneider, Danny (Lana) Schneider, Karen (Dan) Keeler, Mary Kay (Mitz) Moberly, Kelly (Toots) Davis, Wayne (Jeryl) Schneider, Randal Schneider; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; brothers, Ed (Darlene) Keller, Wayne (Marge) Keller;  sisters, Betty Schanaman, Marilyn (Ron) Weir and Joan (Alvin) Hannaman; along with numerus cousins and many friends. 

Edna would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses who during her illness gave such loving care while in Cheyenne, Wyoming along with a heartful thank you to special friends Clint and Linda Landon and to her Granddaughter Jerilyn.

And most of all to my daughter MaryKay (Mitz) for your unconditional Mother Daughter Love during my illness and through all the years. I hope I have left you with a love you will treasure in your heart for all the rest of your life. Sorry my love I left you so soon but know I’m with my love of my life once again. Love you mom. 

Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

Memorials may be sent to the Cancer Society or an Animal Shelter of your choice.

Funeral Service is Saturday May 11, 2019 at 12:30PM at the Bullis Funeral Chapel in Hardin, Montana. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Hardin, Montana. Reception will follow burial at the Elks Club.
