In Loving Memory Garrell Duane Jeremy White

Garrell Duane Jeremy White, 40, of Lodge Grass, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 31, 2017 in Billings, MT.

Jeremy, as he was affectionately known, was born in Crow Agency on May 30, 1977, to the late James White, Jr., and Annabelle Hunts Arrow Alden, step father, Arthur Alden. His Indian name, Daxpitchee Chiash, “White Bear” was given to him by Joseph Bear Cloud.

He received his education in Wyola, Lodge Grass, St. Labre and Tuba City, Arizona. He worked for the Crow Water Resource Department, Crow Tribe Security and most recently with the Crow AML Program.

He was a champion arrow thrower and loved to make arrows for himself and his nephews.  He was also a champion Handgame Guesser with the Lodge Grass Juniors, still retains most guesses in a row, 12.  His favorite hobbies and pastime were hunting, fishing and watching his nephews and nieces play sports. As well as being a member of the Family Relay Team, Two White Birds.

Jeremy was a loving and caring individual, who liked to spend time visiting family and would like to tease and joke with all.  Always lending a hand, very generous and never missed a chance to say, “I love you”, leaving us with a smile.

      His father James White, Jr., sisters Sarah White Young Running Crane and Phalene White, his brother James White, III,  his nephew Thomas James Young Running Crane, his one grandson Arturo Chris Walks, his one granddaughter Kurtllyn Iron, his aunts Elizabeth Medicine Horse and Dolly Hunts Arrow; his grandfather Allen Hunts Arrow and his grandmother Martha Carpenter Hunts Arrow proceeded Jeremy in death.

      Survivors include his  mother Annabelle and step dad Arthur Alden, his adopted parents Clayton and Rebecca Falls Down; children Zechariah, Jomiah, Garrell “Colt” Jr., Chesarie, Baby James, Benjamin and Chase; sisters Doreen (Grant) Stewart, Diana and Lori Three Irons, Bonna Blacksmith, Mary Not Afraid and Marilyn (Richard) Chief, Sr.; adopted sisters Nicole (Clay) Bear Claw, Nadia (Curtis) Bad Bear, Tootsie Carlson, Mary Alden, Beth (Calvin) Brush and Carla Whiteman;  brothers Avery (Kayla) and Bruce (Jennifer) White, Jr., Bradford  (Loretta) Crooked Arm, Jay Young Running Crane, Robert Bearchum, Delvin Medicine Crow, Carl ( Barbara), Conrad (Tina) and Orrie (Glennet) Alden, Emitt and Scott Old Bull, Johnny Stops, Daryl Three Irons and Travis Brien; aunts Norma Stops, Barbara  (Mashall) Left Hand, Helen Driftwood, Janetta Medicine Crow, Carol (Robert) Howe, Rebecca  (Mervin) White, Lavonne Fitzpatrick, Pamela Back Bone, Valencia Crooked Arm, Drew Ann Stewart, Barbara Comes Up, Lucille Other Medicine and Barbara White; uncles Bruce White, Sr., Grady (Alice) Hunts  Arrow, Mervin White, Alvin Emil Little Light; nephews Alyn Kirk (Jonnel), Bartholomew Owen (Tinaye) and Richard Chief Jr., Traylind (Orlanda) and Deallen Little Light, Ramon White, Fernando, Emery and Bomer Crooked Arm;  nieces Crystal Young Running Crane, Sarah and Gabrelle Chief, Arthette (Joseph) Walks, Pebbles (Joseph ) Big Hair, Fontana Stewart, Sheena Yellowtail, Deloria, Blanch and Virginia Crooked Arm.

      Also survived by the Hunts Arrow, Carpenter, Laforge, Old Elk, Jefferson, Little Owl, Red Wolf, Kelly, Watt, White, Nomee, Grey Bull and Moccasin families; the Little Light, Crooked Arm and Good Luck families of Wyola; the late Starr Not Afraid and Guy and Margaret Bull Tail families. If we have omitted anyone please forgive us in this time of grief.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday Aug.5th, in the Crow Agency Spirit of Life Foursquare Church. Interment will follow in the Lodge Grass Cemetery.  Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
