In Loving Memory of Denise Stewart Nomee

On August 4, 2017, Denise Elizabeth Faith Stewart-Nomee went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born to Dennis & Vianna Stewart in Crow Agency on August 30, 1991.  Denise was loved by many, but was cherished most by her daughters and her family and she will be continually adored and missed. Denise enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband, brothers, and father. Being the only girl to two awesome brothers, some might say “tom-boyish” to say the least about Denise’s nature. She was never scared to get her hands dirty and would help her father and brothers with saddling up the horses or when it was time to feed or brand the cattle. She was always there to offer a helping hand to any of her family members whether it was from baby-sitting or fencing around the family ranch.

Denise received her early and formal education at Pretty Eagle School where she also developed her athletic skills which promoted her to excel in High School State teams for Tongue River High School in Wyoming and graduating her senior year from Lodge Grass High School. While in high school she was an avid runner, basketball and volleyball player. Denise graduated from Lodge Grass High School in 2009 with honors averaging a 3.0.  After High School, she had received her Associates of Arts landing her various jobs related to her background as a CNA for Big Horn Emergency Clinic and Hospital in Hardin, MT.  

Her children Joselyn & Paulie were her world as well as her nephew Harrison Samuel (SamiSon) whom she took as her own. She was constantly caring for him and taking him with her for weeks at a time until his parents were lonesome.  Denise loved and cared for each and every-one of her family members each of them having a special place in Denise’s heart.

Denise married her High School sweetheart on November 15, 2009.  She adored her husband and stood by him and loved him dearly.  Denise & Frank entered their eternal home together on August 4th.

Denise is preceeded in death by her grandmother Elizabeth Stewart, grandparents Victor “Tuffy” & Leona Morning, special aunt she regarded as one of her momma’s Nora Ann Bird, Aunt Rowena Gets Down. Uncle Daniel Morning, Brother’s Josh Stewart, Ruben Jefferson, Isiah & TJ Morning. Sister’s Jarietta Stewart and Corma Jefferson.

Denise is survived by her parents; Dennis & Vianna Stewart; daughters Joselyn and Paulie Nomee, adopted son Harrison (SamiSon) Stewart; adopted parents Myron and Victoria Falls Down whom she referred to as Mom and Dad; her brothers; Allen (Tasha) Stewart Sr., DJ (Jaycee) Stewart. Her Grandparent’s Reuben Stewart, Lloyd (Ardith) Hogan Sr., John & Carol Bullinsight.  Auntie Mom’s; Celeste Kaye Tobacco, Minerva (Mike) Tucker, Kathleen (Clinton) White Clay, Teri (Danny) Brien, Ruby (Ben) Jefferson, Rachel, Roberta Stewart, April Toineeta, Janice Gets Down. Uncle Dads; Garfield Little Light, Curtis, Gordon (Norma Jean), Thomas (Janice) Morning, Gary Dean (Ann) Little Light, Clinton (Loretta) Stewart, Jay (Eleanor) Eagleman. Sisters; Angelique, Tiffany, Paulette (Polly Mom), Camille, Charity, Ashley, Cassie, Nina Rose, Amica, Tiersa, Linda, Nancy, Chantina, Trinetta, Candy, Julie, Frances, Leigha.  Brothers; Eric, Nate, Mikey, Jacob, Nuce, Thomas, Isaiah, Rocky, CJ, Cazzie, Roman, AJ, Lindsey; adopted uncles and aunts Jr. and Aldean Good Luck, Sonny and Melissa Falls Down and Dean and Almeda Good luck Aldan Dust, Dean and Dana Bird.

Her extended family include; Morning, Stewart, Little Light, Bright Wings, Red Star, Dust, Bullinsight, White Clay, Spotted Tail, Big Man, Hoops, House, Ten Bear, Three Irons, Bear Crane, Real Bird, Moccasin, Hogan, Black Eagle, Spotted Horse, Shane, Big Day, Big Day, Little Owl, Rock Above and Good Luck, Old Bull, Singer, Hunts Arrow, Gros Ventre, Alden, Birdinground, Grey Bull families & Dancing Bull family of North Dakota.

 A joint funeral services will be held Wednesday Aug. 9th at 10:00 AM at the Spirit of Life Foursquare Church. Interment will follow in the Lodge Grass Cemetery.
