Martin Robert Heth, Sr.

Martin Robert Heth Sr. of Hardin Montana was born on September 10, 1940 to Lloyd Martin Heth and Helen L Zink Heth in Sheridan Wyoming and passed on June 2, 2019 at the family home surrounded by loved ones.

Bob as he was affectionally known grew up in Montana and California as his daddy was somewhat of a gypsy and loved to travel. He received most of his education in El Cajon, California and Later obtained a G.E.D. 

One of his first loves in Life was riding horses and farming with his grandpa. This led to his passion for the outdoors and gardening. He was known for his green thumb.

Bob was drafted into the United States Navy in May of 1966. He was deployed to Vietnam for 2 years during the war and was later honorably discharged in May of 1972. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. The Elks Lodge. The Eagles Lodge and was a member of the Albedo Shriner.

Bob was a Master Plumber and owned and operated Bob’s Plumbing and Heating. Bob started his business in 1972 and ran it solo until his beloved son Jr. moved home and joined him in 1991. Together they ran the business until 2007 when Bob finally decided to retire. 

Bob met the love of his life Emily Prater in 1982 and they later Wed in 1983. Bob and Emily lived in many places such as Cody WY, Stagecoach and Lovelock NV, Harlem and Hardin MT. They loved to garden and can the fruits of their labor together. Bob and Emily had a short spell of raising sheep north of Hardin, they sold out the business and decided to start taking life a little easier. 

Bob enjoyed many things in life, including a cold beer a good laugh and a fish on the end of his line. he was a straightforward no B.S kind of man and lived life on his own terms. 

Bob was known for his culinary skill on the grill in the kitchen or with a smoker. He shared the finished products with many, including his two fur babies Molly and Lady. Whom he insisted be cooked fresh chicken to go with their dog food weekly. 

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife Emily Prater Heth, Mother Helen L Zink Heth, Father Lloyd Heth, Sister Carleen Hopes, Daughter Debbie Allen, Step son Brent Little,Nephews Tim Vandersloot and Richard Brien.

Bob is survived by his two sons Martin Robert Heth Jr. of the home and Colonel David (Misty) Heath and children Ali and Tyler of Tampa Bay Florida. Sister Joan Stimpson, Denette and Harold Brien of Hardin. Granddaughter Brittney (Chad) Braaton of Billing MT. Grandson Daniel Heth of Stagecoach NV. Lukas Heth of Gardnerville NV. Numerous nieces and nephews as well as his families of Hopes, Brien, Schuman, Flack, Vandersloot and Kline.

The family wants to extend a very special heart felt thank you to our guardian angel Lila Boyanich for keeping our beloved Bob home until his passing. For staying to help Jr. at his most difficult time, you’re an angel among us and we are forever grateful for you.
