Michael He Crow

Michael Goes Ahead He Crow, Sr., age 53 of Crow Agency, Montana went to the other side of the camp on February 12, 2020 after a two year battle with cancer.   

Mike was born May 4, 1965, the only child to Timothy He Crow and Arlene Wilson.  He grew up in Crow Agency on top of housing hill.  He attended school in Crow Agency, Ashland (St. Labre Indian School) and Hardin, Montana graduating from Hardin High School in May 1985.  Mike was very proud of his Crow and Lakota heritage.   

Mike worked various jobs and his most recent job was working at the Crow Mercantile.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Mike had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking with family and friends.  

Mike had a special bond with his Boss, his only granddaughter, Rylee Kaze HeCrow, she was his pride and joy. He loved and made sure his family was taken care of especially his wife Kim, whom stayed by his side throughout his ill heath.  

Mike had a special place in his heart for all children especially those who were part of the babysitting club:  Coy, Chase, Sheila, Samantha, Chance, Camden, Laila, Hance, Zion, Joseph Noodles.  

Mike is preceded in death by his mother: Arlene Wilson Grandparents: Luella Charges Strong, John E. Wilson, Rudolph and Ida (Jumping Bull) Tobacco and Robert He Crow. Aunts:  Rosaline Fry, Della Mae Starr. Uncles:  Robert Stanley, Ivan and John E. Wilson, Jr., Gary Tobacco, Filmore Sr., Larry, Harry, and Don Roy He Crow.  Sisters:  Roberta Big Man, Sheila and Lauren Pickett and Pam He Crow.  Nephews:  Berry Good Bird, Terry Little Wolf, TJ Little and JD Ten Fingers.  Daughter:  Kassi Bull Tail and Grandson:  Soloman He Crow 

Survivors include his wife, April Kim Venne He Crow; his dad, Timmy He Crow and his Auntie Mom, Elvenia (Lloyd) Pickett; his children; Michael Jr., Kasey and Megan He Crow, Sarah Hawk, Rio Not Afraid, Drew Little Light, Cori Bull Tail and Tiffany (James) Demontiney. Brothers; Darrin (Shelly) Charges Strong, Benjamin (Emily) BigMan, Jeff McDonald, James and “Big John” John E. Wilson III, Jr. and Tom Fry, Sam (Patricia) Pickett, Delmer (Janice) BirdinGround, Brian (Tammy) and Frank Starr Jr., Filmore (Cheryl) He Crow, Jr., Larry (Jackie) and Hughie (Lori), and Brain (Romona) Blacksmith, and Charlie, Clarence, Jr., and Jesse Rouilllard, Marlon (Debbie) Passes. his sisters:  Shawna, Sandra, Priscilla, Paulette, Cat, Bionca and Sheana Wilson, April (Terry) Enemy Hunter, Lita, JoAnna and Linda Fry, Mary and Leatrice Pickett, Lora (Rocky) Limpy, Danielle (Lawrence) Two Bulls, Roberta and Juanita Star, Julie and Hattie HeCrow and April Corbin, Bobbi Jo and Gina Tobacco, Angie Blacksmith.  His Aunts:  Pauline and Beverly Wilson, Phyllis Tobacco and Yvonne and Carmelita Long Vistor. Uncles:  Lawarence “BoBo” Wilson, Ivis Long Vistor and Gaylin Holy Rock. Grandparents:  Hugh (Jewell) Blacksmith and Floyd Horn. His adopted children:  Dakota Twinn, Lance, Shane and Jarred Hugs, Darrin Singer, Nick Real Bird, Ty Emerson, Chauncey Foote, Jade and Jarred Neser, Daniel Brooker, Jr. and Anthony Little Bird.

Funeral service is Saturday February 15 at 10:30 AM at the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Crow Agency Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
