Norma Mae HuntsArrow-Stops, Biabaalíittamme (Gentle Woman) 95 years old passed away peacefully April 13, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital. “Mae” as she was affectionately known to family was born February 26, 1926, in Crow Agency, Montana to Allen HuntsArrow and Martha Carpenter. She was a member of the Ties the Bundle clan and a Child of Bad War Deed clan. The family is proud of her recognition for being the oldest living Apsaalooke’ woman these past several years. Norma was the matriarch of the HuntsArrow family.
In 1959 Mae married Robert “Bobby” Stops in Sheridan, Wyoming and they made their home in Reno Creek.
She retired from Indian Health Service as a Nurses Aid after 30 years of service in 1978.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and two sons Garrall and Grady Dale Stops, granddaughter Sa’Rayna Stops, great grandson Baby Garrall Real Bird, great granddaughter Kaysera Stops; sisters Melvina HuntsArrow, Elizabeth Medicine Horse, Dolly HuntsArrow and Junetta Medicine Crow, brother Herman Bad Bear and adopted son Teddy Hogan.
Survivors include her sons Johnny Stops and Gary (Ann) Little Light, her daughter Angie Mae (Clayton) Good Luck; Adopted sons Sten Holzlag, Aaron (Althea) Yarlott, Joseph Chargulaf and Norman (Lynn) Morrison; adopted daughters Randine (Burton) Pretty On Top and Lorinne (Robert) White, her brother Grady (Alice) HuntsArrow; her sisters RoseHelen Driftwood, Anabelle White, Barbra (Marshall) Left Hand and Beldean (Blaine) Small; her grandchildren Matthew (Felicia) Good Luck and SaVannah Mae Good Luck, Brocade (Levi) Black Eagle, Marmie (Lawrence) Plenty Hawk, Allen Stops and Alethea Stops and her name sake great granddaughter Sparrow Mae Real Bird.
She loved all her nieces and nephews as her own and they in turn loved her and will miss her dearly…
Extended family includes Onion/Chief Child, Old Elk, White Dirt, Carpenter, Jefferson, LaForge, Moccasin, Greybull, Bright Wings, Old Bull, Dust, and Little Owl. She was a direct descendent of Crazy Head. Her Canadian blood relatives Bird Rattler.

Funeral services Monday April 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Multi-Purpose Building in Crow Agency and burial in the Lodge Grass Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
Visitation Sunday, April 18 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bullis Funeral Chapel.
