Margaret Mildred Little Light

Margaret Mildred Little Light, 53, Iichikáachiish (One Who Sews a lot) of Dunmore, MT entered the gates of Heaven on March 11, 2024.  She was born on January 18, 1971, in Crow Agency to Pamela Stops at Pretty Places Sings Good and Alvin Little Light. She was a member of the Big Lodge Clan and a Child of Whistling Water.  She was given her Crow name by our late grandmother, Margaret Crooked Arm and carries on her name and our grandma Mildred Little Light.  Margaret received her education in Pryor, Montana, graduated from the 8th grade in Wyola and attended HISET in Billings.  She was employed as a housekeeper at Little Big Horn Camp and a nurse aide at Awe Kualawaache Care Center in Crow Agency. She was training as a call taker when she became ill.

Margaret was a Traditional Crow Woman.  She loved to dance at powwows, parade, and camp at Crow Fair. She would go in sundances and sweats.  She enjoyed cooking and singing at family get togethers. She also knitted, sewed, and beaded.  Her laughter was contagious and brought smiles and laughter to all those around her.  She would always say “Love You” to her loved ones.  Her kids, Allen Crazy Mule, Angel and Delorna Jarvis and grandkids were her world. She would want all to celebrate the good memories you have of her.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  Remember life is fragile; live life to the fullest.
