Tina Marie Alden

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with the good Lord on April 1, 2024. Tina Marie Jefferson Alden, Bia Waa Kuu Wiss Aash (Wealthy woman) was born September 25, 1965, in Crow Agency, MT to Lester Jefferson Jr. and Nathelle Young Swallow Jefferson.  She was a descendant of Pretty Eagle, a child of Ties the Bundle and Greasy Mouth Clans.  Tina was raised in Lodge Grass, MT.   She attended schools in Walla Walla, WA, Lodge Grass, and Bozeman. Due to a car accident, she was unable to finish school at Bozeman High School. She got her GED later from Lincoln Center in Billings. Tina married the love of her life Arthur T. Alden Jr. (Comrad) on November 20, 1982.  They moved to Bozeman, MT.  Both sharing love, life and overcoming hardships, that became a beautiful love story.  Soon after Tina and her husband worked at St. Labre Group Home, she went on to work at the Crow Tribe, contracted with Indian Health Service, was a Stand Leader for Metra Concessions and food services at the wild fire camps. Comrad and Tina made their home in Blue Creek, where they raised their family. Tina enjoyed being a homemaker. Her passion was providing for her husband, children, grandchildren and loved ones. Tina extended her love to her nephews, nieces and relatives. Tina’s greatest honor was providing care for her father and mother. She was skilled in mathematics and creative with arts and crafts. She was very outgoing and a strong woman who loved spending time with her family. She would sing to her children and grandchildren; she never missed a birthday song to sing to her babies. Tina had a sense of humor and loved visiting with family and friends sharing memories of her life’s adventures. She worked for a catering company (Yellowstone Kellys). Soon after working as a stand leader at Metra Park. Tina is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Nathelle Jefferson Jr., grandparents, Harvey and Rhoda Young Swallow, Agnes (John) Holds The Enemy, and Lester and Mary (Carpenter) Jefferson Sr., brothers, Lester Jefferson III, McKinley Jr, Calvin, Robin K.
