Rodney “Butch” Mason

Rodney Earl Mason, also known as “Butch,” passed away on October 5, 2020 at the Billings Clinic. His wife, Laura, of just over 50 years was by his side saying prayers, the Rosary and giving general comfort to her soulmate.   

Rodney was born on June 24, 1940 in Sheridan, Wyoming.  He attended school in Lodge Grass, Montana and graduated high school in 1959.  He attended college in Sheridan, Wyoming before joining the Army in 1962.  After his Honorable Discharge, he joined the IHS Hospital in the lab.  After 48 years of service, he retired as a Medical Technologist. Rodney was a son, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he always enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his family. He was known for his integrity, honesty and his all-around genuineness. His generosity was extended to everyone.  

Rodney is survived by his wife Laura Theresa Mason, daughter Laura Mason (Paul Huss), son Jesse Mason (Casandra), son Noel Mason (Teah), daughter Angela Mason, 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. 

Rodney is part of Arlie Stops’ Family of Crow Agency, Montana.   Flowers can be donated to Bullis Mortuary in Hardin, Montana or monetary donations in lieu of flowers can be made at https://www.gofundme.com/f/rodney-masonhelping-his-family-with-expenses/donate  

Graveside Service is Friday, October 9, 2020 at 2:30 PM at the Fairview Cemetery in Hardin, Montana.  Inurnment to follow.

Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
