Shawn Charles White Wolf, Cheyenne name Taa’evena’hane (Killsnight), left us on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 37 years old. He was born on August 3,1981 to his mother Colleen White Wolf.
Shawn spent his growing up years in Busby, MT and Phoenix, AZ. He completed his high school education at Northern Cheyenne Tribal School. In May of 2000, Shawn attended college at Montana State University in Billings. He spent the majority of his adult life living in Billings. Shawn was a very avid artist. He won numerous awards for his art work. He began wowing us with his art work at a very young age, while he was in preschool.
At the time of his passing, Shawn had moved home to Busby to be closer to family. He spent his last days working on his art work as well as doing some tattoo work. Shawn had many friends and family who loved him very much. He was always finding humor in life and making those around him happy. He had a nickname for everyone.
Shawn is preceded in death by his wife Shawna Red Cherries whom he missed very much.
Shawn is survived by his only son, DeShawn Kaden White Wolf whom he loved with all his heart, mother Colleen White Wolf, Leland W. Stewart, brother Brian L. Parker, sister Alicia K. Harwood (Adam), big sister Bethany (Dana) Bullcoming, grandmother Effie Bearchum, special aunts Eloise (Robb) Snow, Diane (Larry) Wooden Legs and Mardell Wooden Legs.
Shawn was close with his family and friends which are too numerous to name. Relatives include the White Wolf, Wooden Legs, Moore and Snow families. Please forgive us if we have forgotten your name during this time.
