Tanisha Rides Horse Watson

 Tanisha Yvette Rides Horse Watson, 27, died Wednesday afternoon Dec. 19, 2018, in Crow Agency. She was born March 31, 1991, on Easter morning in Crow Agency, daughter of Robert “Hoss” and Alberta Rides Horse Sr. Her Indian name was given to her by Frances Stewart “Daakak’e Iibaahaahiile” (Works with the Birds). She was a member of the Newly Made Lodge and child of the Newly Made Lodge. Tanisha was raised in the Lodge Grass and Wyola areas. She attended Wyola school through 8th grade, completing her education at Lodge Grass High School, graduating in 2010. While in high school, she participated in basketball and volleyball. Tanisha attended Montana Law Enforcement Academy, graduated in Telecommunications, she worked for the Crow Tribal Public Safety as. A “Fire Dispatcher”

Tanisha married the love of her life, Cameron Watson on July 26, 2013, at Pretty Eagle Point. With this union they have a daughter Stephanie Pearl Watson. Tanisha enjoyed fishing, hunting, loved to go four-wheeling, riding in the hills with her husband. She participated in most cultural events, and loved family gatherings, made family happy with her quick wits.

Her grandparents Henry and Ada Rides Horse, Mary Beth Castro, Aloyious Caplett, great great grandparents Frances and Mary LaForge preceded Tanisha in death.

Rosary will be recited 3:00 pm Sunday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel.  Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 Monday in the Lodge Grass at the Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church. Burial will follow  in the Lodge Grass Cemetery.  Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
