Travis Narcel “Boots” Buffalo was called home by the Lord Jesus on January 2, 2019. Travis was born September 9, 1980 in Crow Agency, Montana. He was an enrolled member of the Absalookee Tribe, a member of the Peigan clan and child of a Peigan. His adopted parents wereGarfield Little Lightand Audrey Jones. He was raised by his parents Monte Ann Morning and Garland Iron in the Fort Smith area. He attended Pretty Eagle and Hardin High School. Travis enjoyed working on the family ranch,but most of all he loved working with horses. He was an avid horseman and jokingly said “he wasn’t a cowboy but a horseman”. He met Kenzie Whitehip who he loved dearly. Together they had his pride and joy and only child Krisann. He is preceded in death by his wife Kenzie, his parents Garland and Monte Ann (Morning) Iron, adopted parents Dwayne and Darlene (Morning) Bixby, and sister Garnette Iron, and nephew Timothy Hill.
He is survived by his daughter Krisann, stepdaughter Ashley Whitehip, brothers Waylon Iron, Hershell Hill Jr., John Sight, Donovan (June) Bullinsight, Dane (Erin) Bullinsight, Micah Bullinsight, Greg (Dorcella) Half, Jasper Wade (Remy) Half, Rudolph Shane Jr., Lyle Jr. and TJ Old Elk, Eric (Kasey)and Issac “Spike” (Amanda) Birdinground Jr., Zack (Marcia) Wilson, Paul and Victor C. Services will be held Saturday January 5, 2019 at the Bullis Funeral Chapel at 10:00. Interment will follow in the Crow Agency Cemetery.
