William Watson Haley passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 in Hardin, Montana.
Bill was born October 27th, 1932 to Shirley and Bessie (Watson) Haley in Jordan, Montana. The eldest of three, he was big brother to Bruce and to little sister, Helen.
In 1941 the family moved to a small ranch south of Ashland along the Tongue River. Here Bill attended St. Labre School where he graduated as valedictorian of his class. At his passing he was St. Labre’s oldest living graduate.
Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Airforce and was stationed at Luke AFB in Glendale, Arizona. Following his time in the Air Force, he embarked on a trucking career that lasted until his retirement.
Bill married Darlene Hopper and to this union four children were born, Dallas, Rocky, Shirley and Jace. They later divorced.
Bill married Joan Davis and daughter, Beth, was born. After Joan’s passing, Bill later married Anna Mae Wright. This union lasted 47 wonderful years.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Shirley and Bessie Haley, his sons, Dallas and Rocky, granddaughter Elena Guerrero and stepson Raymond Wright.
Survived by his wife, Anna Mae, his sister, Helen (Bert) Woods of Ashland and his children, Shirley Curtis of Casper, Wyoming, Jace (Ann) Haley of Ashland, and Beth (Joe) Donovan of Hardin, and including 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
