Donald Fox, long time farm and rancher from the North Valley Hardin area passed away Jan. 7, 2018.
He grew up in Hardin, where he married Luella Schneider, his wife of 58 years. He called Hardin home for over 60 years, serving as a board member for the Farmers Union Association for 25 years, Hardin School District 1 for four years and Western Sugar Co. for several years. Don was a great carpenter, who liked to build things and remodel homes. He could fix anything! He retired from farming and moved to Billings in 2005. He enjoyed taking his family boating, snow skiing and watching the boys wrestle. He enjoyed helping the kids with their 4-H projects and showing their 4-H steers at the fair. He was a loving husband, caring father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Preceding Donald in death were his parents Alex and Martha Fox, daughter-in-law Rhonda Fox, brothers-in-law Jerry Helmann and Larry Heitzman.
Don is survived by his wife, Luella; his children, Sherry Byrd (Scott), Russ Fox, Kenneth Fox and Jennifer Nedens (Jeff): nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother Larry Fox (Marilyn); three sisters, Sharon Helmann, Margie Hindman (Travis) and Karen Fox (Jack); and a sister-in-law Arlene Heitzman.
Services will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church at 10:00 AM on Friday Jan. 12, 2018. Interment will follow in the Hardin Fairview Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
