Eileen Marie Red Bird went to the Other Side Camp on October 1, 2021 in Lame Deer, Montana.  She was born January 20, 1953 in Crow Agency the daughter of Eli and Maureen (Medicine Horse) Stops.  Her Indian name was Déaxrkaashe Biia (Eagle Woman).  She was a member of the Big Lodge Clan.  She was raised in Crow Agency and attended  elementary school there.  She attended high school at the Flandreau Indian School.  

Eileen married Ward Red Bird in 2016 and the couple made their home in Lame Deer.  Eileen held numerous jobs during her life time but homemaking was what she loved doing.  She enjoyed having her family around especially her grand babies.  She cherished each of her grandkids.  She loved going to yard-sales and attending the House of Hope Church services. In her spare time, she loved to bead and watch her favorite TV shows.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her church buddies, Chole and Jazzie. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Lucy (Pumpkin) Hill, Frances Falls Down, Priscilla “Rose” Jefferson; her sons Henry Jefferson, Jr., and John Dean Falls Down; her sisters Agnes, Elvira, Elda, Danelle, Patty Jo, Sonja and Elizabeth; her grandchild Ashton Strange Owl;  brothers Peter Big Hair, Freddy Stops and Larson Medicine Horse; aunts Christine, Flora, Deanna and Dalphine; uncles Thomas and Willis Medicine Horse, Sr.; her niece Mary Mountain Sheep; her nieces she took as sisters Elizabeth White and Diane Russell.

Eileen is survived by her daughters Deanna (Williams) Rising Son, Aubrey (Ricky) Bianas, Shaliyah (Maynard) Yellow Robe, Jr., Motisha (Torrey) Davie, Cheyenne Espinoza; her sons Eli Stops, William Red Bird; her grandchildren Ambrien ( Jeffery) Roundstone, Aiden and Avin Rising Sun, Andrew King, Amyiah John, Willis Falls Down, Joniah (Ociola) Big Back, Jazlynn, Baby Ragu, Shylon, Emilio, Laivence, Kayden Yellow Robe, Toryann, Kobe, Baby Agnes Davie, Devon-tá Jefferson; great grandchildren that she loved and adored Chole, Raurie and Ricky Bianias Jr., Ellie and Jerald Roundstone, Emoni and Xomarr Big Back, Genesis and Osiris White Woman; her sisters Julia Wolf, Jean (Paul) St. Germaine, Elizabeth Pretty on Top, Ora Mae Medicine Horse, Arlene (Robert) Fitch, Darlene and Donna Backbone, Christine Stewart, Pamela, Catherine, Deanna Stops, Sweetheart Carpenter, Melissa Falls Down, Sandra Stops, Deanna LaForge; her brothers Garrett (Rosella), Michael, Arthur and Grant Stewart, Shawn (Evelyn) Ten Bear, Clinton (Margaret)  Stops, Michael (Rita Rose) Stops, Lawrence and Bemus (Margene) Big Hair, Garlon, Marlon (Reva)  Not Afraid; her nieces Kelly and Lila Mountain Sheep, Sherri (John) Smells, Sr., Sarah (Tilton) Old Bull, Sr.; her nieces she took as sisters Elsie Half, Johnann Hogan, Rochelle Fighter, Barbara Bacon, Marilyn and Paulette Not Afraid, Arvilla (Tom) Fly and Francine Amyotte; her adopted sister Leda Falls Down; her nephews Gilbert Wolf, Taylon and John Mountain Sheep, Richard and DJ Jefferson. Her extended family includes the Stops, Big Hair, Carpenter, Stewart, Rogers Medicine Horse, Pretty on Top, Yarlott, Enick, Fighter, Walks, House, Deputee, Bear Cloud, Half and Not Afraid.  Our family is large, please accept our apology if we have not mentioned you in our time of grief. Funeral services October 5, 2021 at the Bullis Funeral Chapel at 11AM. Burial Fairview Cemetery.
