Amanda Dee Morrison, 43, of Garryowen, MT, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 15, 2026. She was born on October 17, 1982, in Hardin, Montana. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Her Crow name ‘U’ukaunnaalaash’ (Goes after white clay) was given to her by Georgie Ann Bad Bear.
She had many friends with whom she enjoyed spending time. Her style and grace was that of a confident, beautiful woman who took pride in her appearance. Amanda was a well-organized woman, always cleaning, always making sure everything had a proper place. She received her GED in Minot, North Dakota, at Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps Center.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sisters Carolyn Spotted and Valerie Madill; her brothers, Carson and Colter Dawes; maternal grandparents, Norman Sr. and Avonne Dawes; paternal grandparents, Tom and Susie Morrison, and Ralph and Ada Iron; paternal uncles, Garland, Alvin Bruce, and Sylvester Iron; paternal aunts, Arvilla Daisy and Yvonne Iron; maternal aunts Sarah House, Ardene, and Sandra Other Medicine, Pamela Little Light, and Irma Bird Hat; maternal uncles, Robert and John Other Medicine, and Brent Dale Shane.
Survivors include her father, Norman (Lynn) Morrison; her mother Norma Jane (Gordon) Morning; her children, Robert Pretty On Top Jr., Ruby Ray (Kendall) Russell, Karter and Victoria Rios, and Kortez Morrison; her grandchildren, Zacchaeus and Zeniah; her siblings, Tom (Sara), Katlin, and Ada Morrison, Nathaniel, Arlis, and Jeremy (Kayla) Whiteman Runs Him, Darwin (Crystal) Spotted, Sarina Old Bull, Mandy (JC) DeCrane, Carissa (Ross) Pretty On Top, and Candace (David) Dawes; numerous nephews and nieces; maternal grandmothers, Violet Other Medicine, Janine Other Medicine, and Warlene Comes Up; her maternal aunts, Opal and Deidra Mountain Sheep, Willemina and Rena House, Farrah Tobacco, Laurie Dale Shane, Carrie, Thelma, and Rosie Other Medicine, Karina (Thomas) Yarlott, Jolene (Cheyenne) Bixby, Leita Rides Horse, Connie (Dean) Bull Shows, Lena (Dean) Bull Shows, Jaime Bull Shows, Renee (Yvon) Little Light, Alvilene (Joey) Bulltail, Ramona Dawes-Keller, and Gail Bird Hat; her maternal uncles, Elliott (Tina) Mountain Sheep Jr., Lance and Stephen House, Brent, Gus, and Wayne Other Medicine, Bryson (Patricia) Rogers, Dean, and Hubert Dawes, and Paul (Evangeline) Pryor; paternal aunts, Valerie (Lloyd) Hogan Jr., Betty Jo Morrison, Thomasine Birdinground, and Gail Iron; paternal uncles, Manuel Pretty On Top, Ray (Melva), and Edward (Mary) Iron.
