Anna Marie, 22, of Lodge Grass (Valley of the Chiefs), Montana started her final journey with angels escorting her to paradise to make Heaven her home on August 16, 2024. Anna was born on February 26, 2024 to the late Edward “Ben” Benevick Red Wolf III and Lucille “Dodo” Ann Plenty Hawk. Anna has two Indian Names; her first one “Silent Flower” was given to her by her great-grandmother Jean St. Germaine and the second “Not Afraid to Give” from Dr. Janine Pease. Anna is a member of the Bad War Deed Society, child of the Piegan Clan and a life long member of the Zion II Church.
Anna was raised by her aunt Annie Plenty Hawk and her uncle Lucas Yellow Horn in the Lodge Grass area. In Junior High, 9th and 10th grade she attended Poplar School where she excelled in Tennis and Cross County. She also was a member the Indian Club where she was a princess. Afterward, Anna moved to Lodge Grass where she excelled in volleyball and was a manager for the High School Champion Basketball team. She graduated from the Lodge Grass High School in 2020 during the covid epidemic.
Anna enjoyed life, growing up together with her best friends whilst in school at Lodge Grass and Poplar whom include: LaRae Wallace Bird Hat, Velma Darling Springfield, Vanessa Chavez, Violetta Fowler, Elise, Pricilla, Jazlyn, and Inious Flatmouth, Emily Pease, Angel Leider, Hailey Long Tree, Tisha Youngman, Julia Carpenter, Mathea LovesHim and Alexis Boyd, Erica Happy, Taina Young Running Crane, Nai Nai Wyles and Mia Hernandez.
Anna was a friendly person and had a big heart for her nieces and nephews. She often helped her siblings by taking care of her nieces and nephews. Every holiday event she would make arts and crafts for the kids to take to their classroom parties and such. A few years back she got a job and bought presents for the whole family, especially her nieces and nephews. Every payday she would buy presents and putting them away, making sure that every Christmas was going to be the best Christmas of them all. Anna often helped the family with daily home duties and loved to cook especially baking.
She is preceded in death by her father Edward “Ben” Benevick Red Wolf III; her great-grandparents Eugene and Moude (Morrison) Yarlott; her grandfathers Phillip, Pete, Lawrence, Barnett, and Arthur Plenty Hawk, Charles Yarlott Sr., Paul (Roberta) Spotted Horse Jr., Paul Spotted Horse, Tom Bonko Sr., Wesley Crooked Arm, Tyroe Ten Bear, Buster Leider, Edward (LaForge) Red Wolf Sr. Mike, Gerald and Norman Red Wolf. Her grandmothers Esther, Josephine, Effie, Lucille “Lucy”, Anna Mae Plenty Hawk, Rozelia Yarlott Stewart, Charlotte Spotted Horse, Mary Bonko, Victoria Crooked Arm, Lind Ten Bear, Elsie Leider, Olive Yarlott and Juanita (LaForge) Red Wolf; her uncle Franklin “Tee” Red Wolf; her aunt Holly Ganelle Plenty Hawk; and good friends Richard Brown and Albert “Boy” Kirn.
She is survived by her parents Lucille Ann “Dodo” Plenty Hawk, Raymond Holmes, and Annie and Lucas Plenty Hawk Yellow Horn; her grandparents Delmyrna and Tina Yarlott, Marcia and Benito Brown, Tori and Oliver Half, Gema Walks Over Ice, Lucille and Alvin, Sr., Althea and Aaron Yarlott, Sr., Sandra and Kari Stops, Delma Yarlott and Clifford and Ardith Bird In Ground, Paul and Beverly St. Germaine; her grandmothers Marion Eagle Plenty Hawk, Loretta and Venetta Eagle, Rose Morsette, and Roberta Yellow Horn, Arnetta Walks and Ms. Elsen; her brothers Edward Red Wolf IV, Juwan and Tristin Yellow Horn, Glenn (Dawn) Doyle, David and Dewey Plenty Hawk and Thomas Ray Holmes; her sisters Brittney Shann, Jazmene and Kailey Plenty Hawk, Edleena (Duran) Brown, Marlee Stewart, and Ashley and Sierra Red Wolf, her uncles Christopher “Barry”, Rodney George Jr. and Roderick Plenty Hawk, Rudy Yellow Horn, Rusty (Francine) Boxer, Garrett Costa, Dewey Eagle, Terry and Addkin Stewart, and Rodger and U’Gene Red Wolf; her aunts Wynette Weinberger, Lucille Dawn, Alverna Lynn and Jewanna Plenty Hawk, Jazmine Yellow Horn, Christina Costa, Holly Stewart, Candace Brien, Marshelle Weinberger and Karen Yarlott; the family of Charlie and Bernice Jefferson, the Yellow Horn family from Canada and the Weasel Tail family from Browning.
Her nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly; Persais Plenty Hawk, Persefanie Poitra, Shaylee Andreas, Phillip Brown, Persiah Pete PH Yellow Horn, and Finnley FourStar.
Extended Family includes the Red Wolf, Plenty Hawk, Left Hand, Blaine, Bulltail, Door, Backbone, Bloodman, Eagle, Dupree, Yarlott, Morrison, Hugs, Old Bear, Ten Bear, DeCrane, Goes Ahead, Old Horn, Medicine Horse, Alden, Humphreys, Fredricks and Hall families from North Dakota.
The family wishes to thank the medical staff at the Saint Vincent Hospital, Billings, Montana for their loving care; to Fray and Juanita Jefferson and Chairman Frank Whiteclay for supporting our family; and to Rudy and Charity Kelly and family for all their moral support throughout Anna’s life.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday August 20, 2024, at the Bullis Funeral Chapel beginning at 11:00 A.M. followed by an interment in Lodge Grass Cemetery.
