Beverly Sanders Obituary

Beverly Ann Lackman Walborn Sanders was born on Dec 18, 1937 in Hardin, Montana.  She was the oldest child of Jake and Frieda Lackman.  Her body wore out and failed her on May 19, 2024 at 86 years of age.  She had a good run and we all regret it wasn't any longer.

Beverly always talked about growing up on the Lackman farm north of Hardin which was hard work but also fun spending time working with her brother and sister.  While some of it was very fun, if you asked her she hated milking the cows.  Twice a day, day in and day out, before work and after work at the bank, until she was married to her first husband and father of her children John Walborn.  After she was married she refused to milk a cow ever again.

Beverly’s two children, Perri Walborn Jacobs and Kirby Walborn, were the light of her life.  She was always bragging on what they were up to and closely followed everything they did and cheered them on behind the scenes.  She did discover that not everything works out in the world and her and John divorced and she moved on with her life raising her children.

Once her kids were out of the house and making their own lives Beverly met the love of her life, Richard Sanders, and married him.  This caused a major relocation in her life.  Moving from Hardin.  Something she never thought she would do.  With her love for Richard though it easy for her to make and she made her new home in Basin, WY and made the most of her new life and loved it.  Richard had many grown children, but Beverly cared for them like she had her own and was very happy.

Beverly loved getting together with family and friends. Camping, playing card games and visiting and telling stories were the best things in the world for fun.

I hope you all see that while Beverly’s name at the beginning of this seemed to be very long she was very proud of all aspects of her life, Lackman, Walborn and Sanders and wanted everyone to know she proudly loved them all.

Beverly was preceded in death by Her parents, Jake and Freida Lackman, siblings Willard Lackman and Rosalie Lackman Hurlbut, Husband Richard Sanders, and grandson Kohl Walborn.  She is survived by children Perri Walborn Jacobs (Lee Jacobs), Malta, MT and Kirby Walborn (Karmae Muneta Walborn), grandchildren Karmara Walborn (Jazmin Gaspar) and Kyra Walborn, and great-grandson James Walborn all of Hardin, MT.  She is also survived by two nieces Melanie Hurlbut Rindal (Scot Rindal) Helena, MT and Sonia Hurlbut Gavin Helena, MT, Great Nephew Roy Rindal, 7 stepdaughters and their families, one stepson and family.  They live in Wyoming, Colorado and Ohio and one very long time friend that was always there for her, Shirley Margheim of Hardin, MT.

The family would like to give special thanks to Corby Layer.  For the last four years she has lived with and taken care of Beverly so that she could continue to live a comfortable life at home.  She has went above and beyond and her help was an invaluable resource for us and Beverly.

Beverly's service will be held Wednesday May 29, 2024, at Bullis Mortuary in Hardin, MT with internment immediately following. Please come join us in a celebration of her life.  In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to be made to the Big Horn County Historical Museum.

“May the Lord bless and Keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
