Bonnie Booth Obituary

Bonnie Rae Booth was born July 22, 1948, to Raymond and Alvina Smith in Billings MT. Her mother was a homemaker and her dad worked as a farmer on what is now the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch. While Bonnie was still young, the family moved to Billings. Here, she and her brothers and sister, Bud, Mike and Carol grew up. She loved protecting her little brother and this is what blossomed her love for helping and serving others.

After finishing High School at Billings Senior, she insisted on spreading her wings and moved to Chicago, where she had her two sons, whom she loved very much, Edward and Gary Eldridge. Wanting to be near family again, she and her boys moved back to Billings, where she attended Eastern Montana College, earning her associate's degree.

After a few years back in Billings, she reconnected with her friend David Booth, who became the love of her life, marrying on November 16, 1995. Here they combined their families and became the loving mother of four more children David Jr, Pam, Lynnelle and Jessica.

This led to her moving to Colstrip, where she worked for the school district for many years as a Paraprofessional in Special Education and tutoring students at the Breakfast Club, retiring at 64.

Bonnie always enjoyed helping everyone in any way she could. She loved her “extra kids,” Brad and Megan. Teaching, educating, and caring were her passions.

On September 3, 2025, Bonnie lost her battle with cancer. She leaves behind her husband David, their six children, sister Carol (Donald), best friend Stella, many grandchildren who meant the world to her, and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded by both of her parents, Raymond and Alvina, and her brothers Bud and Mike.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society in Bonnie’s name. A party to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date.
