Candice Standish Obituary

Candice Rae Standish, 42, passed away on March 4th 2026, in Hardin, MT, Candice was born on June 2, 1983, in Crow Agency, Montana to Leroy and Frances Standish Sr.

Candice spent her early years growing up in Ft.  Smith, Montana, where she began her education. She attended Pretty Eagle Catholic School. During her junior high years, her family moved to North Dakota where she continued her schooling. Later in life, she returned to Montana where she met Fredrick "Max" Big Man. Together they welcomed two children, Johanna and Daniel.

Candice was known for being outspoken, opinionated, and for having a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to laugh, and tease those closest to her, and her contagious  laughter brought joy to many. She loved to travel,fishing and camping was one of her favorite, She was an artist, Candice would draw beautiful pictures, some days and nights she will be up drawing in her room while listening to her music. Candice deeply loved her family and cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Frances Standish Sr. and her siblings, Jodi, Christina, Robert "Bob", Leroy Jr. and Norman Standish, Patrick Birdinground, Grandparents Alton Standish and Lenora Beaks

special niece Semira Yellowrobe.

Candice is survived by her daughters, Johanna Big Man and Dakota Archila; sons Daniel Big Man and Carlos Archila;  her grandchildren LunaRae Ann and Fredrick Leroy-Jay Big Man, her auntie mom Josie Wallace; her aunts Darlene Longie, Bonnie White Bear, Lanelle Lion Shows, her uncle Russell Wallace. Her Brothers: Martin Cummins, Galvin, Thorton Roger Standish, Nathaniel Castro, Evan, Bruce, LeRoy, Delano, Andrew, Lyle Wallace; her sisters Cheryl Standish, Michelle Archila, Raye Dawn. Amber Wallace, Tiffany, Terry Cobb. And a special nephew Leighton Standish, and other numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Candice loves all her friends and family, who were a big part of her life.
