Carol Magdalene Black Eagle, 69, of Lodge Grass, Mt. was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 2nd 2024 in Billings Mt. She was born June 23rd 1955 in Crow Agency, Mt. to Myers and Julia Good Luck Black Eagle.
She was a member of the Ties the Bundle and a child of the Big Lodge. Her Indian name was Akchiwakii Basaalaachish (Prayer Leader), given to her by her paternal grandmother Ruth Fog in the Morning-Black Eagle.
She grew up in the Lodge Grass area and attended Lodge Grass schools. After receiving her GED, she continued her education by attending United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck North Dakota where she received her Associates in Early Childhood Education. In 2009 she achieved her goal by obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree from MSU-B. Carol worked for the Crow Tribe in various capacities for many years. She was a faithful member of the Crow Revival Center where she loved to sing for the Lord.
Carol was well known for her famous corn tacos that were only available during native days. She once told her niece who was asking for her recipe that it was going to the grave with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister Charlene Black Eagle, brothers Marlon and Larry Black Eagle, nephews Jarrod Black Eagle and Darwin Left Hand.
Survivors include her husband Becker Little Light III. Children; Jeremy (Rayma) Wyles, Skyler, Kiefer, and Jolanna “Minni” Black Eagle. 17 grandchildren; Wayvull Myers, Jomiah Black Eagle, Nai Nai, Colvin, Darcy, Jayma, and Nyelli Black Eagle, Tayven, Charlie, Skyler Jr., Mason, Braxton, Neveah, Alex, Mazzi Rain, Nekoda, and Chevanna. Two great-grandkids Jayleigh and Mylah. And sisters Geneva and Germaine Black Eagle.
