July 12, 1955 ~ October 4, 2024 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Carole Arreguin Obituary

Carole A. Ten Bear Arreguin, 69, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, originally from Crow Agency, Montana, went home reuniting with her father, mother, brother and sisters on October 4, 2024 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. 

She was born on July 12, 1955, to Ellsworth and Darlyne (Beaulieu) Ten Bear in Crow Agency, Mt. She was a member of both the Catholic and Baptist Churches in Minnesota and Montana, a member of the Big Lodge clan and a child of the Greasy Mouth clan.

Growing up Carole attended Crow Agency Public School, Hardin Middle School and later attended Flandreau Indian School in South Dakota, graduating in 1973. Carole attended the Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  

Carole excelled in her studies, was very outgoing and always left whomever she was talking with, with a smile or a laugh. 

She married the love of her life, Noe Arreguin on May 25, 1980, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Together they officially made their home in Minneapolis where she worked as a Legal Aid until in 1997 began a career working for the city of Minnesota in Transcriptions, Internal Affairs, Records and lastly as a Police Support Technician before she retired in 2022. 

Carole enjoyed bowling, pool hustler, attending Mexican dances and if she was not at home, she could be found at Mystic Lake Casino gambling at her favorite machine. She loved traveling to California, Las Vegas, South Dakota and Montana spending time with family. Crow Fair was her favorite time of the year, making her way to Montana about a week early making sure the camp was set up and ready before the rest of her friends and family would arrive. 

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Noe Arreguin Guzman; sons Lance Ten Bear and Jose Arreguin both of Minneapolis; daughters Angela (Jason) Cummins of Newtown, ND, Darlene Ten Bear of Fargo, ND and Jude Ten Bear of Colusa, CA.; grandsons Diego (Licia Mason) and Lorenzo Ten Bear; the joys of her life her great grandkids Koda, Kato, Kylo and Kira; adopted daughters Jacquline Hill, Chelsey Synder and Chevy Rios; brothers Gary and Bentley Ten Bear, Shawn (Dyanna Three Irons) Backbone and Orville (Lynette)St. Clair; sisters Jackie (Larry) Blacksmith and Evelyn Roundstone; aunts Nadine (Dean) Dawes, Arlene (Robert) Fitch, Donna and Calley Backbone, Kathrine (Benito) Morrison, Patricia Maxwell and Lavina Passes; uncle Marlon (Debbie) Passes; nephews Bentley, Duran, Evan, Elijah, Charlie, Brian and Scott Ten Bear, Shawn Backbone, Jr., Chase Pereau, TJ, Lennis and Jay Reed, Lane Plain Feather, Artie Smells, Darrin Abel and Dwayne Blacksmith; nieces Becky Reed, Cindy Rose, Vestal, Marilyn and Marcia Blacksmith, Sissy and Gabby St. Clair, Cynthia Smells, Donna Lee Abel, Rae Dawn and Shawna Ten Bear; grandmother Margo Real Bird; special friends Ardith BirdinGround, Jewel Pretty Weasel and Susie Couture

Preceded in death by her parents, brother Ellsworth Ten Bears, Jr. (Peanut); sisters Debra Reed and Trivian and Marilyn Pat Ten Bear, grandparents Francis (Mary Bear Ground) Ten Bear, Paul (Emma Earth) Beaulieu, Frank (Pearl Deernose) Backbone; uncles Alonzo, Charles and Vernon Ten Bear, Frank Backbone, Jr., Art Beaulieu and Donald Passes; aunts Francine Camden, Noreen Big Hair, Darlene Backbone and Donna Beaulieu; nephews Ellsworth “ET”, Gary Dean, Gary Nakia Ten Bear; niece Felicia Dawes

Extended family include Ten Bear, Bear Ground, Backbone, Deernose, Real Bird, Moccasin, Medicine Tail,Yalott, Beaulieu, Arreguin; Chargings, Fredricks, Halls and Packineau of North Dakota 

We would like to thank the Nurses and Doctors from Abbot Hospital for the care they gave during her stay.  We also would like to thank Bullis Mortuary, and the Minneapolis funeral services for providing the transition and transportation to bring Carole home to Montana.
