Cheyenne Lopez Obituary

Cheyenne Eli Lopez born on August 15, 2002 in Nogales Arizona to Event Lopez-Killsnight and Jesus Lopez Bustamante. He grew up in Nogales Mexico for his childhood years along with his older brother Marco, his older sister Charisma, and his mom Event and dad Jesus. He was just like his dad Jesus in so many ways, they dressed alike, combed their hair alike, and even walked the same. Eli loved being the little brother and following his big brother Marco everywhere. In 2005 we lost Marco at the young age of 5, due to Leaukemia cancer. It was tough for everyone not having him around but mostly Eli who spent everyday with him.

Our family later moved back to Lame Deer, Montana. When we moved back we lived with Martin Killsnight (grandpa) who Eli became very close to. Grandpa Martin always had good snacks in his closet for Eli when he got home. They held a close bond and cruised around together in the evenings. The family later moved to Muddy Cluster where they spent most of their childhood.  After growing up a little Eli became closer to his big Sister Charisma who then took over on babysitting duties. Everywhere she went she had to take him along. They had a lot of good laughs together, temper tantrums, and spent a lot of quality time together at home. They would go on drives together, and hang out a lot.

As Cheyenne “Eli” grew up he attended Lame Deer Public Schools throughout his elementary years to high school years. While in Jr high he began to learn how to ride horses. He liked going to Vernon’s  and riding horses there. He would like spending a lot of quality time with Phillip Whiteman Jr, they got him involved in Rodeos and they traveled locally with their family;  where he learned how to bronc ride. He liked to do cowboy things like branding, and taking care of the horses. They nicknamed him Nacho in Junior High and stuck with him throughout high school years. Eli was kind, smart, loving, and the best guy you would always want to have around. Him, his mom, grandma and family had strong Christian beliefs and Eli liked going to bible study. After high school he got involved in a relationship with Truvy and later had his first son Christian.  He later moved to Billings with the rest of his family to be with them. Eli stood by Truvy and Christian’s side the whole step of the way, proving that he wanted to be a great dad. Eli always liked being around his big brother Kiemo, who always had goofy things they liked to be doing. They liked hanging out together, going out to eat, and just spending quality time together, they held a very close bond.

In his journey, he took pride in his volunteering at Food For The Soul, where he enjoyed giving back to his community. He helped cook meals, BBQ, and made some new friends Rosalyn Bigback, Goldstein Little Eagle, Toyya MedicineTop, Vincent Blackhawk, D’Anthony Willis. I want to thank all the good support he had at Food for the Soul and the good people he met along the way. He loved going to downtown AA meetings and enjoying their delicious spaghetti.  His other special friend included Bonnie BearDontWalk and her family who were also by his side. He helped out a lot around the center and met some great people along the way. He always made sure they had what they needed there.  He always made sure they were fully stocked on diapers for all the kids to use.

Along the way, he met Shania (fiancé) and later brought a set of twins into this world: Leileigh Rain Lopez and Lorenzo Roman Lopez. Eli and Shania had a very special bond and spent every day together, and Shania was by his side for all their barriers and hardships. Eli was a very good dad, and his kids were his biggest accomplishment in life, and he talked about all three of them every chance he could. If he was not with Shania, he was with his brother Spirit, whom he absolutely loved (Jeremiah), and always cherished the time all three of them spent together. Spirit and Eli shared a strong brotherhood and were always doing something like BBQ, playing games, joking around, or cooking for everyone.

Preceded in death by mom Event Killsnight, uncles Lucas and Martin Killsnight, and brother Marco Lopez.

He is survived by his father Jesus Lopez, sisters Conzuelo Lopez and Crystal Abel, brother Kiemo Lopez; children Christian, Leileigh Rain and Lorenzo Roman Lopez; nieces and nephews Ezekiel and Esaias Gonzalez, Lazare Lopez and Carlos Cruz; mother to his children Shania Burns and Truvy Hardground; Bonnie, Carlin BearDontWalk and family, Mama Celeste and family, Charisma and family, Spirit Stump and family, Food for the Soul, and everybody at BFT. Extended family include Killsnight and Whiteman.
