Christine was born on July 21,1969 in Crow Agency MT, to Clifton Big Man Sr. and Melody Hatten.
She grew up in the Hardin area with her siblings. She attended school in Hardin, Pretty Eagle and attended school in Washington.
Christine is preceded in death by her brother Clifton “Teddy” Big Man Jr. her grandparents. Edgar Big Man, Violet Other Medicine, George Hatten and Elizabeth Two Belly. Aunties Honey Girl Hatten, Renae Hatten and June Hatten. Uncle Teddy Hatten, Clinton Big Man and Don Pearson. Also, her best friend Lori Alden.
Survivors include her parents Clifton and Melody. Her Sons Baby Nate (Erica), Jolly, Christopher, Robin (Robin), Harlow (Gabbie) Enick. Daughter Clifonda (Oscar) Yepiz. Sisters Melinda (Mike) Big Man and April (Rhett) Davisson, the Little Aunties who were considered sisters as well Gloria Espinoza and Felicia (Dale) Espinoza-Davisson. Brother Conklin Big Lake. Uncles Carlton, Clayton Big Man, Oscar Swank, Jerry Schnackel, Aunt Lynne Schnackel. Numerous Grandchildren. Adopted sister Melinda Lee Dawes, good friends, Terry Collett Little Light and Kendra Shane.
Christine loved her kids and the rest of her family. She was a creative person and was a well organized woman. Anytime she was out and about she took care of others and helped them out when she could. When she had it you did too. Her style and presence from head to toe was that of a confident beautiful woman. She was no doubt a beauty.
She worked at various places in the Hardin and Billings area. She was a wildland firefighter and during that time participated in the recovery efforts of the Columbia Shuttle. She received a Certificate of Appreciation with Crow Crew 7 for the devoted efforts for the Columbia Shuttle Recovery Mission in Longview, Texas where she recovered a piece of the shuttle.
Christine is a direct descendant of Chief Two Belly of Lower Big Horn and Chief Kennewash of the Rocky Boy area. The family of Max and Cordelia Big Man, Manual Hatten and Jennie Dance Pipe.
Christine had numerous family and friends, please do not feel offended if you are not listed, as the family has endured extra hardships over this past month.
