Daniel "Danny" Joe Keller, was born on March 29, 1959, in Hardin, Montana to Benny and Eileen Kurtz Keller. He was the 3rd oldest of 4 children. He grew up on the family farm and attended Hardin public schools. He loved farm life and the outdoors.
He worked on the farm until the mid-90’s, then moved to Billings and worked for Bradford Roofing. He was a farm boy at heart. His favorite time of day was early morning and getting “Up with the chickens”. He loved to drink coffee and start the day early before it got too hot out. He took a lot of pride in his hard work on the farm.
Danny had a lot of character and a clever sense of humor. He could tell a great story and always made people laugh. He loved animals and his pets were his pals, especially his faithful dog, Tikka, who never left his side. His hobbies included watching movies, walking at the river to find all the prettiest rocks, and playing cribbage. But by far his favorite activity was cat fishing on the Little Horn with his “Boovas” (his boys). Dan had many friends and could start a conversation with anyone. He was always friendly and kind to others.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Benny and Eileen. Danny is survived by his siblings Gary (Carla) Keller, Kay (Jim) Vandersloot and Greg (Jeana) Keller; his sons Patrick (Brittany), David (Alex) and Benjamin Keller, his former spouse Jennifer; his grandchildren Gabriel and Randi Keller, and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins whom all loved him dearly.
A service of remembrance will be held Monday January 8, 2024 at 1PM at Bullis Funeral Chapel, 507 North Center Hardin, Montana. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hardin. Those who wish to remember Danny in a special way may donate to LUNGevity Foundation, www.lungevity.org/donate
