Donna Jean Gonzales of Hardin, Montana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 in her home at the age of 77 years old. She was born and raised in Hardin, Montana on December 3, 1946, to Evelyn (Dahl) and Marvin Taylor and was the beloved wife of Richard Wayne Gonzales, Sr. for 58 years.
Donna was born and raised in and around Hardin and attended school in Hardin.
Donna married Richard Gonzales on February 15, 1966 in Billings. Donna was a housewife and stay at home mother to her four children. They made their home in Hardin, Washington, California, and Wyoming and traveled to many states throughout the years for Richard’s work as an ironworker. Donna had many talents working along side her husband on their hog farm early in their marriage, keeping up with him at every pace. She could drive semi trucks, pull trailers, and even change tires on her own. Donna could sew
like no other. She was quite the seamstress. She made blankets, clothes, and any custom item that she was challenged with. After Richard was injured on the job, Donna worked various jobs in Hardin making many friends every place she was. She truly was a mother to all and cared deeply about everyone in her life. She later began selling Mary Kay and was very passionate about being involved in the Hardin VFW Auxiliary for many years holding many positions in the Post. Donna was a passionate, devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to have her grandkids and family around. She was loving and spicy at the same time. She really loved to get tough with us kids in our adult ages, threatening a spanking if we were sassy to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and her special three dogs.
