DrewAnn Garalyn Takes The Gun

Our loving daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter and best friend DrewAnn Garalyn Takes The Gun, 18, of Lodge Grass made Heaven her home on May 18, 2024. “Isbaaxaalia áxpek chiwakiilák” Prays With Her Elder was given to her by her great grandfather John Cummins, Jr., a daughter of Carylene Plenty Buffalo and Jackson Takes The Gun on April 23, 2006.

She was raised in the Two Leggins area (Alden Ranch) and later in Lodge Grass.  She received her early education in St. Xavier and was currently attending Lodge Grass High School as a senior. She was a member of the Newly Made Lodge and child of the Ties The Bundle clan as well as an attendee of the Pentecostal Church, Native American Church, and the Ree Society.  

DrewAnn was affectionately known as a fun loving, outgoing, silly, caring, and kindhearted person who always had a beautiful smile that brightens up a room.  She enjoyed riding horses, cruising, jamming out and dancing with her sisters and friends, and attending the hand game tournaments.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, the late Gary and Gloria Plenty Buffalo, grandfathers Daniel “Sonny” Takes The Gun, Jr., Fred (Jr. Boy) Alden III, James Cummins, Sr., great grandfather John Cummins, Jr., Fred Alden, Jr., Daniel (Jack) Takes The Gun, Sr., Harold Back Bone, great grandmothers Mary Leda Falls Down, Ruth House Alden, Virginia White Hip Takes The Gun, Ramona (Tiny) Nomee Back Bone, Bernadine Cummins Real Bird, and Michelle Cummins Driftwood, great great grandfather John Plenty Buffalo, her brothers Andrew Thomas Cummins, Kevin White, Anfernee Birdinground, Emery Yallup, her sisters Mikayla Plenty Buffalo, her aunties Jocelyn Jacklyn Falls Down, uncles Leslie (Frank) Nomee, and Ryder and White Hip.
