Eloise Josephine Martinez, 93, of Custer, Montana and Hardin, Montana passed away on September 1, 2024 at the Big Horn Hospital Association in Hardin.
Eloise enjoyed growing a big garden, cooking for her family, sewing, canning, making a mean chokecherry wine, and most of all talked about working in the fields working the sugar beets and picking peas.
She was the daughter of Ralph and Ruby Anguiano and was born in Huntley, Montana on May 8, 1931.
On August 9, 1948 she married Henry Martinez in Billings, Montana. Henry died in June 2018.
The couple had 9 children: Henry Jr. (Mariah) of Lewistown, Louie (Jeanie) of Hardin, Patrick (Carol) of Gillette, Wyoming, Carol Rogers (Joe) of Butte, Hilda Kopp (Chuck) of Hardin, David Martinez of Huntley (deceased), Ralph (Lori) of Hysham, Veronica (Randy) Kopp of Hardin, and the baby of the family Vincent of Worland, Wyoming (deceased).
She had five siblings, all of whom are deceased. She is survived by 24 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 23 great great grandchildren, and 3 great great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Bullis Funeral Chapel followed by the funeral service at 10:00 am. Committal will follow the funeral at Fairview Cemetery in Hardin.
Following the graveside service, a light reception will be held at the Bullis Family Center in Hardin.
