Fidel Naveiro Obituary

Fidel Naveiro, a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, father, and grandfather, unexpectedly passed away on January 10, 2026.

Fidel was born on May 23, 1962, in Havana, Cuba, to Ramon and Catalina Naveiro. After arriving in the United States, he grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School and went on to build a career in the trucking industry, most recently working for Titan.

Fidel cherished time spent with his family, especially his six grandchildren, who were the joy of his life. He loved the outdoors, watching Philadelphia sports, and sharing meaningful conversations with anyone willing to listen. Fidel never met a stranger—he could strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel known and valued. He faithfully showed up for the people he loved and took great pride in watching his grandchildren pursue their passions, always cheering them on.

A proud American patriot, Fidel instilled a deep love for his country in his children. He was also a devoted Christian who boldly shared his testimony and faith with others whenever the opportunity arose.

Fidel is survived by his two sons, Brent (Macy) Naveiro of Clinton, Tennessee, and Brandon (Kira) Naveiro of Wernersville, Pennsylvania; and by his six grandchildren, Isabella, Heidi, Addison, Benjamin, Brinley, and Bryson. He is also survived by his sister, Loly (Jose) Cabral; his brother, Jorge (Carmela) Naveiro; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon Naveiro and Catalina Naveiro (Daniel), and by his siblings Nelson, Silvio, Nancy Mateo, Ricardo, Margarita Rosales, and Wilfredo.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out with love and support during this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held in the near future, and arrangements will be shared when finalized. Special thanks are extended to Nash and Alex Gregro and Brandyn Guinther, whose presence and care helped make Fidel’s final week especially meaningful.

Please continue to keep the family in your prayers.

The family takes comfort in the words of 2 Corinthians 5 (KJV):

“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

With this promise, the family finds peace knowing that Fidel was saved and is now in Glory.
