Floyd Grant Obituary

Floyd Daniel Grant, 47, of Hardin, MT passed away June 28, 2025 surrounded by family.  “Fights at the Shore” given to him by his papa’s friend, Louis Lion Shows, was born in Sheridan, WY, the first son of George and Twila Grant.  He received his education in Hardin, Flandreau and Chemawa Indian School.  Growing up, he participated in various sports and being the best at every one of them: basketball, baseball, wrestling and football.

He worked various jobs, mostly outdoor ones. He loved to firefight. He loved to laugh and make people laugh. He had the best sense of humor.

The greatest joy and happiness he had was being a papa to Kylen. The word “no” did not exist when it came to him. The love of his life and the one that got away was Michelle Green.

Greeting him at the pearly gates with open arms are his father, George, brothers, Scott, Roland Brown, George “Porge” Brown III, Norbert Brown, and Don Adams, sister, Angelique Brown, granddaughter, Ladelle Grant, paternal grandparents, Rhyce Grant and Irene Lyons, maternal grandparents, George Brown and Margaret Two Belly, uncles, Charlie, Big Boy, Big Floyd, and Dan Brown, and aunts, Dorothea and Mary Kate.  

Floyd is survived by his mother Twila, children, Jorden, Bryce and Kraig, aunts, Lena Brown, Regina Falls Down, Trudy McConnell, Mary Jo (Gary) Whiteman, Verlie, Stella, Rose, Ellen, Lucille Yarlott, Arnetta Walks, Sophie Left Hand, Jeanie Castillo, June Hatten, Francine Real Bird, Claudine and Tanya Dust, big brothers, Willie Brown, Benito (Marcia) Brown, Norris Big Hair, Freddie, Rick Crane, Manford, Walks Conrad, Johnny BullinSight, Sargie Howe, Allen Black Bird, Kenneth Spint, Bobby Montgomery, and Alfred Walks, brothers, Daryl (Bernadine), Victor (Sandy), Mike (Celeste) Brown, Buddy, Big John, Jack, Jumbo, Tiny Man, Justin Brown, Charles Walks, Coty Brown, Shane (Jackie) Montgomery, Larry (Laurie) Eastman, Tody Left Hand, Junior Bone Left Hand, Bruce Russell, Little Joe, Tad, Richard & Shawn Sees the Ground, sisters, Jan (Mike) LaForge, Charelle (Glen) BirdinGround, Joni Adams, Sarah Brown, Emmeline, Lenny Brown, Randine Pretty on Top, Penny Adams, Danelle Fitzpatrick, Danetta Takes Enemy, Marsha Reed, FayeAnn Brown, Cookie Jar, Carmelia Brown, Sarah Walks, Taffy & Alfredine Brien, and Jennifer White, nieces, Gabby, Zelda, Shiloh, Skylee, Velma, Leticia, Glenelle, and Magdalena, and nephews, Joshua, Deyn Scott, Arthur, Latrell, Samuel and Sampson.

Extended family includes Philamine Five Crooked Arm, Annie Walks, Henry and Ted Rides the Horse, Mary Fights Well Known, Violet Other Medicine, James Brown, Barbara Susan and all of their families.
