Frankie was called home on November 24, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Montana surrounded by her Family & Friends. She was a loving daughter devoted to her family. Her nieces and nephews would call her A’mah.
Frankie was named Spotted Otter “Beaputex’axesh”. A name given to her by her grandmother Mary Agnes Shane. She is also of the Greasy Mouth clan and a Descendent of Chief Pretty Eagle.
In her younger years Frankie attended both head start and grade school in Crow Agency, Montana. Frankie attended Hardin High School and graduated in 1991. After high school, Frankie enlisted in the United States Air Force where she excelled and was apart of the Elite Guardian Team. After her Honorable Discharge she went on to attend Spokane Community College in Spokane WA, where she received her degree in Accounting & Business Administration. After graduating from college, she returned home and went on to pursue a career into Law Enforcement and worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs Law Enforcement where she worked as a Supervisor in the Jailing Department. After serving in Law Enforcement, Frankie went on to work for the Indian Health Service.
Frankie is preceded in death by her children; Isaac Kindness (Son) and Danavia Kindness (Daughter); grandparents Isaac and Mary Agnes Shane; aunts Merci Lavelle Shane, Julia Penny Shane and uncle Earl Biss.
Frankie is survived by her husband Patrick Kindness, mother Rita Shane; children Brittney Phelps, Jordan (Sunshyne) Phelps, Patrick Kindness Jr. “Patty Joe”, and Jessica Kindness, uncle Isaac “Ike” (Rosella) Shane; sisters Zena Venne, Mariam Shane, Shelly (Darren) Charges Strong, Loretta (Dennis) Popetsaike, Michelle (Fred) Butler and Mary Lou (Jess) Half; brothers Chico Redstar, Christopher (Johanna) Shane, Gregory (Claire) Shane, Richie Shane, and David Blaine; nieces Renita Birdinground, Candace (Barry) Glenn, Lorna (Jacob) LittleOwl, Yvonna Charges Strong, Autumn Charges Strong, Naumie DuShane, Karissa Dushane, Dominque Butler, Viviana Popsaike, Alexia Half, Alicia Half, and Seahdom Lonebear; nephews Eugene Redstar, Dustin LittleOwl, Darren Charges Strong Jr., Greg “Rylon” Shane Jr., Sly & Thunder Popetsaike, Rasheed Butler and Jesse Half; grand children Shawntay Lamont Dash Phelps, Isabella Big Man, Lillian Gray, Shandon Zade M.H. , Rae Luv M.H., Jonas M.H. Daysha M.H., Joaney Champ, Luvleigh Champ, Jr. Champ, Celeste Champ, Daylon Champ, and Summers Glenn. Best Friends Nancy Bear Cloud, Cleora Hill-Scott, and Leda Falls Down.
Frankie has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Extended families include Shane, Spotted Horse, Big Lake, Stewart, Costa, and Pretty Eagle Families. Our Family is large, please forgive us if we have missed anyone.
