Georgine Rose (Takes Gun) Falls Down

Georgine Rose Takes Gun-Falls Down, 72, of Crow Agency passed away June 22, 2025 at Billings Clinic Hospital.

One That has Many Good Days (Ishbaapalichiaachaash), was born in Billings, Daughter of Daniel Takes Gun Sr.  and Virginia White Hip-Takes Gun.  She grew up and received her education in Lodge Grass, later graduated from University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Finance.  Georgine worked for the tribe in Finance for 10 years. She finished her career for the Bureau of Indian Affairs for 35 years and received a Merit Award.

Georgine married Ronald Falls Down on May 30, 1973, in Hardin and the couple made their home in Lodge Grass. Georgine loved to dance at Powwows, she danced Traditional and always won her category. She was a Crow Style Golden Age Champion in 2015, 2018, 2021. Georgine started singing young, she was about 5 or 6, she would gather her friends and pretend to have Church and sing. Though she was blessed with many talents, she was best known for her beautiful singing voice. Worship wasn’t just her calling—it was her way of life. Through every song, she inspired, comforted, and brought people closer to the presence of God.  Georgine was very involved in the Crow Hymns Ministries traveling across the US.  

Georgine was a member of the Ties the Bundle and Child of Bad War Deeds.  Attended Crow House of Prayer, President of Crow Hymns Ministries, Tobacco Society.

Her Daughters, Jaclyn Falls Down and Joselyn Ward, grandson Frank Nomee, sister- Rosine Takes Gun, Natalie Stewart, Mary White Hip Brother Daniel Takes Gun, Jr., Larry Takes Gun Ryder, Al White Hip, Lawrence, Kenneth, Jerry Flat Lip, Tony Parrish preceded her in death.  

Survivors include her Children, her Daughter Janna Falls Down and her Sons Ronald Jr.  Isaiah (Jaissa) FallsDown, Grandchildren-Andron(Jahnea), Ronnie III, Rennalaya (Cedric Tillman) Amarae FallsDown, Kaisha Donte.
