Funeral services Saturday at 11:00 am at the Spirit of Life Foursquare Church. Burial in the Crow Agency Cemetery.

Glenda Pretty Paint Morrison, Iihpiiakaat Daakatuush (Magpie Child) was born February 23, 1949 a daughter of the late Perry Pretty Paint and Grace Three Irons. She was affectionately known as Kaan Bia Itche a name given to her by her first granddaughter Amber. She was a Greasy Mouth and child of the Big Lodge Clan and member of the Tobacco Society. She was a Crooked Staff owner in the retrieving of the War Bonnet Dance. Glenda was raised in the Black Lodge area and attended school in Hardin. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Eastern Montana College in 1974.
Glenda married her high school sweetheart Alvin Morrison III in 1967. The couple made their home in Crow Agency. They had seven children; Alvin Morrison VI, Grace Morrison, Bobbi Jo (Darrin) Old Coyote, Dr. Gerlinda (Channis Whiteman) Morrison, Seneca (Cindy) Morrison, Quincee (Marvin W. Stewart) Morrison, Randy (Amberly) Morrison and Marvin (Alberta) Wall.
Glenda worked for various programs including a child advocate for the Crow Tribal Courts, she initiated the book mobile at the Pretty Eagle Catholic School, Head Start teacher, Hardin School District 17-H as a counselor, was a board member and then hired as an employee for the LIFTT Program, she advocated for people applying to Social Security and other federal programs and even coached a traveling basketball team. She served on many influential committees and boards on the Crow Reservation including the 107th Committee, Board of Trustees for Little Big Horn College, Law and Order Committee and representative for the Black Lodge District Executive Committee.
She is preceded in death by her husband Alvin III, her parents; her son Alvin Morrison IV, her adopted parents Edward and Florida Big Medicine her brothers Melvin Pretty Paint, Thomas Wall and Thomas Larson Medicine Horse, Sr.; her sisters Caroline Morrison Miller and Geneva Other Medicine; her great granddaughter Deanna Cloud.
She is survived by her children; her sisters Frances Pretty Paint, Debbie Pretty Paint, Lavina Passes; her brothers Gary Pretty Paint, Stanley Pretty Paint, Heywood (Mary Lou) Big Day, Sr.; her adopted siblings Merle Big Medicine, Terry Rosenlund, Hannah (Kenneth) Pretty On Top, Sr. and Deanna Laforge; adopted children Matthew Troy Cloud Sr., Chaz Bends, Daniel Walks-Ceasley; her grandchildren Bobby (Heather) Morrison, Jerome, Christopher, Katerena, Alexis Morrison. Kennon, Josiah Lone Fight, Amber Wilson, April (Dennis) Bastien Wilson, Sam Paul Carlson, FredRica LaFountain, Allen Robinson, Alvie and Evelyn Old Coyote, Charine (Ashton) Old Elk, Chantel and Chandra Whiteman, Seneca (Daleigh) Morrison Jr, Janey, Robert and Caleb Morrison, Latrell and Valerie White Clay, Racinda (Robert) Little Nest, Lando, Cecelia and Sylvie Morrison Stewart, Pearl, Karmen and Harley Morrison, Tammie Stops, Devon Freeman and Michael Wall; her great grandkids: Trent, Kowan, Kado Morrison, Mathias, Glenda and Tyrese Cloud, Joseph Smells Jr., Darrin Chan, Gina Lou and Charles Wilson-Bastien, Gracelei Wilson-Deputee, Erin Wilson-Old Elk, CaMeila and Cashton Old Elk, Elenna, Alkylus and Kyron Carlson, Vanessa Lynn Stewart and Kenzley Morrison and her great, great granddaughter; Harmonee Wilson-Wallace; her aunties Agatha House and Loettal Wallace. Her extended family includes the Pretty Paint,Three Irons, FoginMorning, House, White Clay, Big Medicine, Smart Enemy, Bear Crane, Other Medicine, WalksOverIce, Dawes, IronMan, Big Sky, Brockie, Standing Rock, Top Sky and Denny.
