Jacob Charles Big Hair, Jr. “Shorty”, of Raymond, Washington, passed away on December 1, 2023. He was born on November 25, 1948. He was a member of the Big Lodge Clan and a child of the Piegan Clan. He had many hobbies: fishing, hunting, and Singing Indian. He enjoyed Hand Games, Peyote meetings, and playing the harmonica. Shorty was a very humble man whom loved his family, and enjoyed his time in the State of Washington. He loved the Ocean, the Rain and the outdoors. He worked in the past at Crow Head Start, Sugar Beet Factory and in the construction field.
Jacob is preceded in death by his mother RoseMary Walks, his father Jacob Charles BigHair, Sr.; his grandchildren Jack Bowe, Preston Bell, Tristen Gray, Zoe & Selena Bighair-Not Afraid and Brandijo Bighair.
Shorty, is survived by his children Jacquelena, Thomas, Jacinta, and Shawn Bighair, his brother Gary Bighair; his sisters Regina FallsDown, Vicki (Arnie) Black, and Danna Carlson; his grandchildren RJ Gray, Louis Bighair, Scyeland Bighair, Misty Bowe, Joshua Bowe, Miesha Bighair-Danford, Austin Lewis, Melisha Meters, and Jacob Meters; his great grandchildren Kaydence Bell, Jaibin Bell, George and Steven Bighair, Andrea Medina, Nevaeh Norman, Remy Medina, Kater and Martin Bowe, Ezekiel Medina, Cody Mack, Jr., Jason Mack, Evelyn, Alan Lewis and Roo Meters.
His extended family includes Bighair, Walks, Brown, Deputy, Leider and Hatten. If we have forgotten anyone during our grief, please accept our apology.
