James (Jamie) Summers Bennett, Baahile-Isitchee (Likes To Work) given to him by his late Grandfather Thomas Yellowtail, 45, of Lodge Grass, MT died at the Billings St. Vincent Healthcare, Billings, MT on April 30, 2024, Jamie went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born on July 23, 1978, to the late Robert Bennett and Roberta Morning at the Crow Hospital, Crow Agency, MT. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God, a child of the Whistling Water clan and Peigan. He was married to Willow Bennett.
He was raised in Lodge Grass, MT and graduated from Lodge Grass High School, He later studied at Montana State University, Bozeman, MT.
He was family oriented, polite, and valued spending time with family and friends. Always had a smile and hug for his family and displayed such love and affection for them. Jamie never passed an opportunity to acknowledge his family members with kind words addressing them with utmost respect. He had a zest for life, enjoyed, and embraced nature with outdoor activities, hiking, fishing, and hunting.
Jamie is preceded in death by his dad, grandparents Juanita Standsoverbull and Robert Morning, Sr. great grandparents Henry and Mary Brightwings and Robert and Dorothy Yellowtail. Aunt Loni Yellowtail, uncles Thomas and Darrell Morning, Henry Brightwings, Jr. His brother’s, Mike Bear Cloud, Isaiah, and TJ Morning.
Survivors include his mother, son’s Skyler (Bryanna), Shiloh, and Elias Dillion-Bennet, he loved and cherished his grandson’s Jeremiha, and Haven Dillon-Bennett, his siblings Athen Bennett, Nathan Anderson and Ivy Dillion, Aunts; Alvina Morning and Laurena (John) Holds, Uncle Robert (Julane) Morning, Jr. Maria (Gerald) Pease, Henrietta (James) Takes Horse, Flavina (Kirby) Bromley, Shirlene (Gilbert) Glenn, and Linda Mae Little Owl. Celeste Tobacco, Minerva (Mike) Tucker, Victoria (Myron) Falls Down, Vianna (Dennis) Stewart, Kathleen (Clinton) Whiteclay, Teresa (Daniel) Brien, Sr., Red Star Price his uncle’s; John Dust, Gary Reed, Ivan Morning, Darrell (Barbara) and Larry Bright Wings, friend and companion Mary Rock.
