Jim Van Daele was born on August 21, 1956, and left his world home for his heavenly home on July 29, 2020, after an extended illness. He grew up in Hardin, Montana, the son of Henry and Darlene (Evenson) Van Daele. He graduated from Hardin High School. He worked various jobs throughout his life, some taking him to Alaska, Oregon and a few more stops along the way. He loved to venture out, but always returned to Montana, the place he loved most. His most recent job was working maintenance at Hardin High School, until health issues no longer allowed him to work. This was one of his favorite jobs as he was blessed with the gift of gab and he knew no stranger. If you knew him, you were his friend and he always left you smiling by something he said. He was married and divorced a few times and was blessed with 5 daughters.
He is survived by his mother, his brothers Steve and Monte Van Daele and families, his sisters Julie (Robin) Schneider and families and Stacy Neeser and families all of Hardin and the surrounding area, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and live long friends.
No services are planned and there will be a private family gathering on his birthday.
