Jim Cline, 88 years old resident of Northglenn, Colorado, passed away quietly surrounded by family at his Northglenn home on November 27, 2024. A small graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on December 7, 2024, at the Fairview Cemetery in Hardin, Montana.
Jim, affectionately known as JD to many, was born in Crow Agency, MT and was raised in Hardin, MT. He married Bonnie Jean Walthall on March 1, 1958 and after living in MT and CA while he worked for G.E. as a computer engineer, they eventually settled in Northglenn, CO in 1968 to raise their children, Caren, Jeff and Jason. After leaving G.E. in the mid 1970’s, Jim became the co-owner of a neighborhood bar called the Eastlake Inn, which he owned until the early 1980’s. Jim enjoyed camping, fishing and attending Crow Fair every August. Family meant the world to JD, the door was always open to any family that needed a roof over their head.
Jim lost his wife Bonnie in April 2020. He has since spent his time playing cards at the senior center, feeding the birds that flocked to his house, puttering around working on the many home projects that he always had going, and going on outings with his granddaughter, Bailey, who lived with him. JD was known as a sweet man who enjoyed chatting with anyone that was around.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Cline, granddaughter, Laila Saad, brother, Jack Cline, and sister, Betty Jo. He is survived by his sister Daisy Colleen Dineen of Vancouver, WA, daughter Caren Saad and her husband Omar of Ft. Collins, CO, son Jeff Cline of Northglenn, CO, son Jason Cline and his wife Brittney of Murrieta, CA, six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
