Karl Gregory Big Hair III

Karl Gregory Big Hair, III aka Baby Karl, Runs along with the Holy Spirit, Axpak Xaluushish, given by Joseph Bear Cloud, Sr.  Baby Karl was born September 20, 2001 in Billings, MT to Karl Big Hair, Sr., and Jodene Deputee.

Baby Karl, 23 of Crow Agency, but was currently working and living in Billings, MT. He passed away tragically from injuries sustained in a car accident, May 4, 2024.

He was a member of the Big Lodge Clan and child of the Greasy Mouth.  He was raised in the Pentecostal Church.  He was humble, kind, and a gentle giant he was also a very immaculate person. Teasing was one of the many things he loved to do and did it with a smile.  He enjoyed teasing Callie Bouyer his sister-in-law.    He loved all his nieces and nephews and took them as his own and he loved them all so much, especially having a special close relationship with Titus and his only  niece, Karlene.  Baby Karl was an outdoors man who loved going hunting with his family.  At the age of 3 he owned his own gun given to him by his dad, Karl, Sr. He also enjoyed fishing for his sister Karlan and they would fish fry after a fish was caught.  He also participated in hand games as a young boy and this year he was the head guesser for Big Horn Juniors, and a coach for the Big Horn District Senior hand game.

One of his proudest moments was spending time with his sister Karlan and their best friend LaChelle on their many adventures.  He was also crowned a Prom King in 2016 at St. Labre and did not tell his parents.  His parents found out through Facebook and asked him why didn’t you tell us and he just laughed and went about his business.  He also went buffalo hunting with his dad’s work company and his mom tagged along and he said to her “Mom you should of stayed home your always in the way.”  He loved to play xbox live in his spare time.  Because of his humbleness he was offered a job without an application and when he went to the job site for an interview the question was asked when can you start? and he began his work career with CarNu.

Everywhere he went he was loved by many and he had two adopted parents, Travis (Willeena) Reed Sr and Garla Williamson.

Baby Karl attended Crow Agency Public School and transferred to Pretty Eagle Catholic Academy in his younger years.  He attended St Labre Indian School and graduated from Lodge Grass High School in 2020.

Preceded in death by his brothers Karl Big Hair, Jr., Zachariah Samuel,  sister Karlan.  Grandparents, Samuel Big Hair, Sr., and Adelia Walks.  Paul (Skippy), Victoria Deputee and Cleo Medicine Horse. Great Grandparents, Harriet Leider, Annie Walks, Grace Hummingbird and Mae House.
