Karlan Adelia Bethany Big Hair

Karlan Adelia Bethany Big Hair 29 of Crow Agency went home to be with the Lord on May 3, 2024 from a tragic car accident.  Karlan, Ishtianneitche (Good path) given to her by the late Joseph Bear Cloud, was born November 10, 1994 in Hardin, MT to Karl Big Hair, Sr., and Jodene Deputee. She was a member of the Big Lodge Clan and child of the Greasy Mouth.  She was raised in the Pentecostal Church.   

At a young age she was attached to her father and she grew up right along his side.  She tagged along her father’s side and when he was mechanicing working on cars she would be working on her little battery powered wheels truck.  Karlan had the natural drive and affection to go hunting and fishing when the opportunity arose.  She would be the first one ready to go when her dad said hunting or fishing.  She enjoyed to fish fry on the spot whenever they went fishing.  She always hung around her dad in whatever he did and she was known as a daddy’s girl.  The bond they shared was unbreakable. She was loved by her dad and he bought her, her first truck. Her friends were eager and excited for her to pick them up for a ride with her music loud and bumpin.  You could hear her coming down the road a mile away.  There was never a dull moment hanging around her she was always teasing and joking although she had a shy but quiet demeanor.  She always had a good come back. Karlan was an avid Denver Bronco’s fan and always gave her dad a hard time about his 49ers.  She was kind and had natural loving energy, and from this gained her many friends from childhood to her adult life.

December 4, 2012, she gave birth to a baby girl Karlene, she was amazed and couldn’t believe she had her own baby girl and was very proud of her.  Karlan had her two childhood friends give Karlene her middle names and they came up with “Kyla Rayne” given by Roxy LuLu Cloud and Misty Morning.  Karlan supported Karlene in all her endeavors.  When Karlan first became a Kaala she was very proud and she would officially call herself a Kaala. Her first grandson Jeremiah made her proud.  Then Zander Huxley came into her world and she was very happy having another little brother and later Liam Rocko came into the family and she said that he brought our family closer.  She was lovable and was a good aunty to all her nieces and nephews.

Karlan grew up close to her dad’s side of the family with Delvin, Whittni, Shanna, Arianna and Nadia and they hung out together through thick and thin.  They got into mischief together went to outings together, and she loved them dearly.  Karlan had a best friend who later became her brother, Ty Crooked Arm, they were inseparable.  You would often see them driving around and Ty was always the passenger listening to her loud music.

Karlan met the love of her life, her soul mate, and companion LaChelle Pickett and they settled down to raise their children in a new home.  Through this union Karlan gained three step children which she loved as her own, Zephaniah, Niajah and Ary.

Karlan worked at Tepee Service, and Bairs, and gained many friendships through her employment and becoming good friends and gained a work sister Regina Turns Plenty.  Karlan had a soft heart and loved many she would be willing to lend a helping hand, if needed and never hesitated. She was born an raised to know the Lord, and when they would speak of Gods word to her she would start to cry because the words would touch her heart.
