Obituary
Laura He Does It, Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, Laura Jean He Does It-Bear Claw went home to be with the Lord on December 13th, 2021. Laura was born on April 10, 1968 in Sheridan, WY to Robert “Clinton” He Does It Sr. and Rosalie Ann Greybull. Laura was helped raised by her grandparents, Joe and Laura He Does It Sr. whom she loved dearly and was cherished by them. Laura was a descendent of Chief Greybull and belonged to the Greasy Mouth Clan & was a child of the Whistling Water.
Laura or “Baby Jean” as she was affectionally called, grew up in the No Water area where she rode horses with her friends and swam in the local watering holes. Our mother had fond childhood memories of playing card games, board games, riding her horse Blackie & riding motorcycles with her sister Jodie Lynne in the St. Xavier area. Laura was a member of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church and Lodge Grass Creek Church which was pastored by Sammy and Priscilla Flat Mouth. Laura attended schools in the Lodge Grass School District graduating from Lodge Grass High school in 1986.
Laura worked various jobs including The Station In Lodge Grass, teaching for Headstart, road construction flagging, Little Big Horn Casino Cashier, Big Horn Memorial Hospital in swing Bed, helping take care of others as a CNA with her last job being for the Awe Kualawaache Care Center. Most recently she was a homemaker caring for and enjoying her family and grandchildren. In 2018, Laura assisted as a mentor to lead one of several groups called the “Baa nnilah” program which was a part of the Apsaalooke Nation’s Messengers for Health. She took great pride in helping her group to achieve living a more conscious and healthier lifestyle. Laura had a way of surviving any situation that was thrown her way. She had numerous friends and got along with anybody due to her easy-going personality and kind heart. She loved her family and grandkids dearly as she always spoke highly of them. Laura loved her music and often entertained her family and friends. She was a person that never judged a soul and was always going out of her way to help others and always found a way even though she had nothing. She was one to quickly take off the jacket off her own back and give it to others. Anyone who knew her, knew of her laughter, humor, and positive character. She will be missed by many.
