She was raised in Wyola along the upper Little Horn River with her 8 siblings. She was a member of the Newly Made Lodge Clan and child of the Piegan Clan.

“Nettie” a nickname given to her by her dad, attended Wyola Public School in her younger years. Nettie enjoyed family gatherings, fine dining, and always presented herself elegantly. She had a kind and generous heart. Nettie loved children and teaching; it was her passion. Through out the years, she raised Danika Cloud and Ezekiel Yellowmule as her own.

Nettie was a descendant of Crazy Sister-in-Law a Chief of the Crow, Pretty Shield, Goes Ahead and Crazy Head. She also held dear to her heart, the Yellowmule, Otter Stays in the Water, Star, Brass, Hogan, Stewart, Reed, Yellowtail, DuShane, Blackhawk and Yellowhair families.
