Obituary

Nicolette “Girl” Claire Rogers, 49, was born June 29, 1972 in Crow Agency, Montana her name was given to her by her aunt, Theo Hugs. She earned her wings on December 29, 2021. She was raised in the Black Lodge area and was a member of the Big Lodge Clan and Child of the Greasy Mouth Clan.


Girl attended Hardin High School and later completed her GED certification. She held various jobs as a CNA, worked at Walmart in Oklahoma, and was most recently employed for the Hardin School District as an assistant cook. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her dog Dusty. She referred to her dog Dusty as her baby dog. She enjoyed helping her uncles during their camp meeting and helping with the concession stand. She had a huge heart for the local street people and was often seen providing what she could give including clothing and food. She enjoyed taking selfies and often shared them on facebook.


She is survived by her mother Mary Kaye Rogers, father Mckinley Iron, adopted parents Woodrow (Gladys) Brien; her companion Precious Jefferson; her children Vincent “Valentino” (Bobbi) Blackhawk, Annie Castro, Violet Little Light, Valentino “Rio” Blackhawk, Mario Castro, and Matthew (Chasity) House; her grandchildren Keyori, D’Sean, Dana, Maricole and Liam Blackhawk, Dion and Chey’Ara House; her brothers Kenny (Elena) Rogers and Micah Falls Down; her sisters Karen Hall, Precious Little Light, Rachel James, Jamie Lance, Peggy and Jamie Whiteclay; her nephews Melvin Duran, Tony and Dakota Abril; her nieces Jennifer Duran, Morgan Rogers and Erica Abril; her Uncles Bryan (Marie) Rogers, Clinton (Sherry) House, Alex (Ethel) Madill, Dennis Madill, Alex (Gina) Reed, Franklin (Rebekah) Whiteclay, Jay (Laura) Rogers, Frank Caplett, Ivan (Dorothy) Morning, Dave Bryant; her aunts Lorrie and Florida House, Lou Oldcoyote, Annie Stops, Clydine White Clay, Dawna (Robert) Nelson, Verna (Franklin) Jefferson and Rebecca Jefferson; her grandpas Bruce (Agatha) House, Raymond House, Larry Old Elk and Clifford Birdinground; her grandmas Fannie (Kenneth) Plenty, and Mary (Edward) Iron. Girl took all her cousins as her brothers and sisters.


She was preceded in death by her daughter Lugenia “Baby Girl” Black Hawk, sister Irene Duran, grandmothers Irene Reed, Ruth Alden, Grace Hummingbird, Rosabelle Fighter, Vera Whiteclay, Donna Prettyontop, Franchen and Thora House; Grandfathers Sonny Reed, William House, Thomas Medicinehorse, Bryan Rogers Sr, and Norman Prettyontop; as well as her extended family including the foginthemorning, Three Irons, Big Medicine, Blackbird, Goes Ahead, Bird hat, Black Hawk, Old Crow, Bulltail, Wallace, Black Eagle, Ironman, Jefferson, Top sky, Standing Rock, Stump, Weasel Boy, Denny, Windy Boy, Guardipee, Big Sky, Iron maker, Brockie, Saddle Back, Big Ox, Beaver Muskrat, Hangs Up the Meat, Crooked Face, Ten Bear, Decrane, Comes Up, Bad Bear, Reed, Coffee, Bears Tail, and Rogers family.
