Normanda Michaeleen Charlie Pretty On Top, 32, of Reno Creek went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday May 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. Her Indian name was “Hawashtaawiiwaaxpásh” meaning, Walking in Holy Land given by her Clan aunt Jeanette Adams.  She was a lifelong member of the Four Square Church. She was a member of the Whistling Water Clan, Child of Big Lodge, and the Night Hawk Society. She was born October 22, 1991, in Crow Agency, MT, to Norman Jr, “Boy”, and Kathryn Pretty On Top. She grew up in the Reno Creek and Black Lodge areas.

She received her early education at Crow Agency Public School and graduated from Hardin High School in 2010. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing basketball, riding horses, riding bikes, and beading. In high school, she participated in softball, AISES and Indian Club. She attended Little Big Horn College for one year, and later started working full time for Apsaalooke Nights Casino as a slot technician, security and surveillance, which she enjoyed. Normanda was also a cashier at Good 2 Go gas station in Hardin. She enjoyed participating in the Sweat Lodge, Handgames, and singing back up for the Wranglers and Black Lodge District. Her life-long goal was to become a Mechanic. Most recently, she was a stay-at-home mom with her son Malachi. She met the love of her life, Cameron Black Eagle, in 2010 and through this union were blessed with two sons, Curtis “Courage” Wheeler and Malachi Zade Black Eagle. She was known for her cheerful and goofy personality, that usually ended up in laughter. She was also known for decorating her house for seasonal events, especially during Christmas.

Normanda is preceded in death by her father, Norman Jr.; her grandparents, Norman and Donna Pretty On Top Sr., Michealeen See The Ground and Anthony Reed Sr., George and Connie Brown, and Zelda DeCrane; her uncle and aunt, Alyouis and Gladys Ann See The Ground; her great grandparents, Robert Sees The Ground and Mae Foginthemorning; and Godparents, Paul Sr. and Joy Matt.

She is survived by her husband Cameron Black Eagle; sons Malachi Black Eagle and Curtis “Courage” Wheeler; her mother, Kathryn (Darrel Sr.) Kills Night; her sisters, Kayla (Kevin) Rutter, Norriah (James) Dust, Norveda (Criston) Stewart, Norrisa and Normae Pretty on Top, Amy (Shane) Brady; her brother, Norman (Precious) Pretty On Top III, Kelby (Sophia) Pretty On Top, Julian Brien, Coty (Velma) Brown, Hurshell Hill Jr. and Josiah Kills Night; her grandparents Kenneth, Randy, Brewster (Veronica), Lizabeth and Beverly Pretty on Top, Raymond and Bruce (Agatha) House, Fannie (Kenneth) Plenty, Mary (Edward) Iron, Ruby Williamson, Edith Reed, Linda (Manuel) Covers Up, Delma Yarlott, Regina Goes Ahead, Mary Black Eagle, Linda (Duwayne) Birdinground, Rosella (Issac) Shane, Lena Brown and Twilla Grant.
