Paul William Medicine Horse

Paul Medicine Horse was born November 16, 1971 to T. Larson Medicine Horse, Sr. and Caroline Sun Rhodes.  He crossed to other side camp June 1, 2024.  His traditional Arapaho name is Big Man, Nenbeesei3e (pronounced Nin-ba sayeth).  Paul was raised by his grandparents Robert and Jenni Sun Rhodes in Ethete, Wyoming.

He attended Wyoming Indian High School, he participated in many sports and had a good hand in volleyball, but basketball was his passion.  He was a firefighter and a well known ref.  Paul passed his bar exam to become a security guard; which he worked for most of his life.

He met Gary Allen while working security in Casper, Wyoming. Gary Allen befriended him and they became close and kept in contact with Paul. Every time Gary Allen came to Wyoming and Colorado, Paul was invited. Gary took Paul as a brother and gifted him a signed guitar.

Paul married his high school sweetheart Bizz LaBeau. Out of that marriage he had 3 children, Jefferey, Paige and Jenna Medicine Horse.  They grew apart and Paul eventually moved to Montana where he made his home.  He met Sarah Brown and married her, Sarah had 4 children, Zelda, Coty, Louis and Brandy Jo.  Paul raised Sarah’s children as his own.  Paul loved his children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great children very much. If he was needed he would drop everything to help or support them in any school activities or sport events. Even if it was miles away and storming, he was there.  Paul was their teacher, mentor, and guide.

He liked to travel, and was a fan of the Hardin and Wyoming Indian teams and the River Road Relay team.  He also loved to be on Facebook, and take and post selfies.  Paul was a good jokester who always had everyone laughing.

Paul is preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Medicine Horse, Isabelle Hill, Robert and Jennie Sun Rhodes, parents, T. Larson Medicine Horse and Caroline Sun Rhodes, brothers, Wesley, Dominic, Kyle, James, Eldon, and Ivan, daughter, Brandy Jo, sisters, Merlene, Margaret, and Robyn, aunts, Deanna, Darlene, Janice, uncles, Donald, Wesley, and Jerry, grandchildren, Kayden and Robert.
