Ronald Joseph Yellowmule, 87 of Reno Creek, went home to be with the lord on November 24th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Ronnie was born in Crow Agency on December 16, 1937, to Andreas Milton Yellowmule and Anna Dillon. His Indian name was Daaxpiitcheiiaagexxiichish “The Grizzly Bear Watching Over Him.” He was a member of the Bad War Deeds Clan and was a child of the Piegan Clan.
Ronnie was raised by Eli and Angela Star BlackHawk and grew up in Wyola, attending school and working for various outfits as a Ranch Hand. In his younger days, Ronnie was often found participating in Rodeos, riding Broncs and bulls with his best friend and adopted brother Bobby Little Light, who preceded him in death. He remained a lover of horses and continued to own horses up until his passing.
Ronnie met and married the love of his life, Roseline Hill-Yellowmule, and the couple raised a daughter, Luzenia Yellowmule, in the Wyola and Reno Creek area.
Ronnie was a promoter of the Crow Culture; he could be found at area powwows with his daughter and grandchildren, enjoying them participating in traditional dancing.
He also followed the Hardin Bulldogs, where his daughter and all his grandchildren attended and participated in sports.
Ronnie was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying the outdoors. He possesses a great collection of antlers he was very proud of, and on any Sunday could be found next to the Big Horn or Little Horn Rivers enjoying a day of fishing.
Ronnie retired from the U.S. government after 26 years of employment and thoroughly enjoyed his retirement by traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Andreas Yellowmule Jr., Luzenia Lucy Yellowmule, Rose Marie Blackhawk, Ferol Blackhawk, Rosa Mae Dillion, LuJuanna Nelson, and Dewitt Dillon
